The smile on her face lit up the world. Everything was moving too fast for this. My father has just died, Sammy is dead too. I couldn't put Alice to try to make the pain go away. But I wanted too. I needed her. Sure, I'm moving so fast but fathers death has given me the confidence to really put myself out there. I have had a crush on Alice since the 3rd grade. I didn't know if she liked me back but I prayed every night that she would like me back. Me and her had conversations that would go into depth on our dreams. I want to be a entrepreneur just like my pops. I am the heir to his oil company and I want Alice to be with me the whole way there. Alice or Mrs. Peters. Alice wants to be a teacher. She wanted to teach children and help them learn. She would always play school with me and Sammy. It was that or a seamstress. Her mother was a seamstress so I understand why she would want to be one. She was great. Should I let her be, or should I be selfish?
I'm being selfish. I have waited 9 years for that damn goddess she's mine now. I kissed her back intensely. She escaped my lips to breathe.
"Let's do this later, Jackie." She stated. I hugged and smiled at her. Her eyes were indistinguishable in the dark. I felt like I could do whatever I wanted. We walked back inside hand in hand to see my mother and sister gossiping. They looked at me and Alice and smiled.
"Son, I'm happy for you. We needed joy after all this sadness." Daisy said. Alice sat back down and dipped her water.
"You know what would make me ecstatic! Grandkids!" My mother sang. My face flushed and Alice choked on her water.
"I mean, grandkids would be great..." Alice said softly. I looked wide eyed ate her. She must have been shocked as we'll because she looked wide eyed at me like I wasn't supposed to hear it.
After dinner, me and Alice went to my room. She insisted she stay the night because of how worried she was about me, I couldn't refuse. She wore one of my dress shirts. It was oversized for her, covering everything just right. She lied down next to me, her hair was down. I was gonna make her blush her little heart out.
"So about those kids..."I said to her. She turned a bright red, even her ears. She was adorable.
"Um...I mean I'm still in school and-" she tried to explain. I let out a great chuckles and caressed her cheek.
"We can wait, Honey." I said. Her face was still red. I wrapped my arms around her and went to bed.
