He landed on the rocky ground of the Sun's Plateau and placed her on her feet, in front of them lay a large, clear watered lake. She slowly walked towards it and then crouched down to touch the surface, "Apparently these waters have healing, bathing in them should allow your infection to reduce for the next remedy," He turned around and looked out over the plains, the sun had just began shining, making the fields shine with Zenith's glory, he folded his dragon wings and let the sun strike his angel wings. He heard her step into the water.
"You can turn around now," He turned back to her and saw her sitting, neck deep in the water as water flowed into the lake from a small source and then out by way of waterfalls that became rivers in the plains, "How long do I have to be here?"
"For a long time," He said as he placed a bag on the floor, "I brought this for a reason," She shrugged, "What's up?"
"Last night, what were you doing?"
"Watching over you."
"And all the others?"
"Yes, I used Lord Inventaariy's help to seek the remedy for all of the sickly ones," He smiled, "And it wasn't too hard."
"Why?"
"Because Lady Anya's gods can't heal the people due to her rules, they can only give advice and steer their priests in the right way."
"And you decided to help the priests to then help them?"
"No, the people of Enspiritus," He said moving closer to the water, "They can help themselves, they are gods."
He noticed something land on the plateau, "What is that, Lord Inventaariy?"
"That is nothing to fear, a Hillovulturus, the Cowardly Hill Giant, a large bird that drinks from these waters, but they are normally in groups of 4 to 5 birds," He was nearly cut off by the landing of 3 other birds, "As I was saying."
"Thank you, Lord Inventaariy," He said as Laura and him began observing the birds as they drank from the edge of the water, taking large scoops of water in the bottom of their beaks and swinging their head up, messily drinking the water and splashing most of it instead of drinking it. They continued a few minutes before flying of once more, gliding with large majestic wings gliding over the plains.
"I have never seen those creatures, when I am better I want to travel more."
"Well, you end up seeing many things when you travel, Laura," Vidian said smiling, "I have seen many things."
"How long have you been doing this?"
"A few months now."
"And where did you start out from?"
"Kyyieshnomad."
"Where is that?"
"Near the Great Desert, far from here."
"How far?"
"Nearly three weeks walking."
"And flying?"
"A day or three."
"That is fast," She said, looking away from him as she sat nearly still in the water, "Why am I doing this again?"
"It heals wounds and allows for faster regeneration of tissue, and you being thin is because of the infection that makes your tissues degrade, you have to let them reform and strengthen."
"Oh, okay then."
She had recovered quickly, as in a few days she had lost her skin on bones appearance and had gain weight as well, seeming more like a regular person instead of a sickly one. Lady Zhonya and Lord Seraph stood observing her movements and her appearance. Lady Zhonya let a smile slide onto her lips and then got up and walked towards Laura, "You have done well, Laura, you seem in much better shape, do you feel fine?"
"Yes, Lady Zhonya."
"Then you are free to go, you have been cured," She bowed her head and then smiled at Vidian who smiled back. She then turned and left the temple with her sister's help, "Vidian, you are full of surprises, aren't you?"
"I believe so."
"I believe that Lady Anya will allow you to complete her work."
He placed the blessing in his amulet, leaving all but one of them filled, the dreaded god, Lord Boros, "I see you noticed the last place, Boros is a wicked god."
"I know that, Lady Anya."
"He will test you more than any of us have."
"He is a cruel god, the second most evil being in the Eternal Domain."
"He was the one to wound the Death of the World, allowing Lord Orn to trap it."
"Do you have anything you could tell me about the Death of the World?"
"It keeps its power through its lives, and will never tire, at least with them it did not," Lord Seraph added, "But I fear you will struggle."
"Why is that, Lord Seraph?"
"The 12 gods of this realm were 12 to fight it, each with powers, Lady Anya could stop the pain they felt, and therefore allow them to fight and fight without stopping, you don't have a healer with you."
"But I do, Lord Seraph, I even have two of them."
"Who are they?"
"Lady Diana and Lord Zenith."
"I almost forgot that you had those blessings, Vidian, but you will need more than all the strength you can muster up in an instant with a mortal life."
"Then how will I, how will I fight it?"
"Lord Boros's work will make you change."
"My brother is the opposite of me, and all he will enjoy doing is making you stronger to be able to take the powers of the Death of the World and tame them and then be the most evil being of these lands."
"If you can match it in power, it will probably change its way of fighting, but it is far smarter, far stronger and far more dominant in a fight than any creature you will have even thought."
"That is very reassuring."
"It isn't supposed to be, this isn't some random task given to a random person, if you fail, the beast will rampage once more, only for this whole ordeal to be repeated, and you being reborn, but through those terrible childhood years and then forced to fight it again, this is no joke."
"Everything we have made, along with what the supreme gods have made, will be wasted, all of those you know will die, and you will be responsible."
"I am aware of that."
"Then be serious about it, no matter how hard you want to die in that fight, you have to think of the thousands of souls you will be trading for a short relief you will have, Vidian, think about it long and hard."
"Yes, Lady Anya, I will, I won't quit until my soul is pulled from my body by force," He said, kneeling down, "I must be going, thank you, Lady Anya, Lady Venusaria, Lady Zhonya, and Lord Seraph, I thank you."
"Remember that you can split you pain with anything, I believe I didn't tell you this," Lord Seraph spoke, "Lady Anya's blessing is a concealed blade."
"Thank you, Lord Seraph, for everything," He got up and turn towards the door, with the four gods watching as he left the temple and crouched down before firing himself into the air, in direction of Lord Boros's city, Drakkthar, the city of the dead, where the people were all deep followers of Lord Boros and where the dead was mixed with the living, where monsters were mixed with humans, Celenstials and Darkkin, but where nothing happened as Lord Boros enjoyed causing events himself. His temple was also a place where followers would willingly go to feel pain from him or his gods, a place for the sick and twisted, and now a place where he would be going himself, and this, willingly.
