Chapter 18 - On The Roof

As Lenny followed Terra she saw the surroundings turn from her down stated neighborhood to the up town cafe that they had been in earlier that day. She saw the pink and violet haired girl phased on to the roof of the cafe and  watched as she sat on the edge of the roof, soon after Lenny climbed up the vinery that was on the side of the cafe. "Hey Terra, you ok?" Lenny asked causing Terra to turn and look at the small girl whom had came allthis way just to make sure her friend was alright, gave the smallest ghost of a smile playing her face. "I'm...fine I think. I just..."Terra sighed her signicure sigh but something was hidden under it, emotions that she often held hidden deep down. Lenny quickly under stood that Terra wasnt alright and walked over to her, taking hold of her chilly hand that Terra flinched away from at first but realized that the smaller female hadn't shed her hand away from the cold of her touch. "Terra, please talk to me, I wanna know whats wrong. I care about you and I wanna help you. I know that your a reaper." Lenny explained finding the words from her heart easily. The reaper girl looked at Lenny, then their hands, then back up at Lenny. "I guess I'm not ok Len, I really am not ok." Terra said looking down her hair falling in front of her violet eyes, she tried to hide her emotions so well, but she could only hide it all for so long. "Terra I can Help you, please just tell me what is wrong." Lenny pleaded with the reaper. Terra nodded her head slowly as Lenny sat down pulling her down gently as well, both girls sitting down on the brick roof of the cafe. "I...I feel alone, I'm lonely. Everyone I know eventually dies, gods do you know how hard it is being a reaper? And Everyone I will ever know will die an-and it hurts knowing that everyone will die, evryone but me!" Terra whisper yelled at the blonde infront of her, who understood more than she wished to let on. Lenny nodded at Terra as she began to speak "You don't have to be alone all the time. Zain wont die on you, I won't die on you. You have people who can come back, I mean both of our Alex's will come back, slightly altered, but they'll come back in a new form with the ghosts of memories from this life. You won't be alone forever, no matter how annoyed or angry or emotionless you act, or even are, I won't leave you behind!" Lenny explained to Terra emotions starting to pour out as much as they did when her parents were murdered in the fire. Terra smiled weakly, nodding as she drapped her arms over Lenny starting to sob quietly and whisper her thanks and wishes. The smaller female patted the slightly taller girls back nodding and comforting her. The two were not new to comforting someone but they both were new to feeling at peace and troubled at the same time.
