Back to the eastern castle of Titan Family, at the west veranda.

Jack has just arrived and stepped out from the teleportation circle when suddenly another teleportation circle appears.

It was Granny Nindya and the King.

Meyrlion put a step and get administer a royal salute to the King "Your Majesty !"

Jack and the others mimicking Meyrlion's manner.

The King nods. "Let's cut the formalities. We don't have much time."

"Boys, the western royal castle under attack. I believe this is just a beginning from coup d'état. To prevent those, I need to go to Capital, find some loyal faction and secure the throne."

Meyrlion clenched his fist. He looks angry.

Jack was reloading his guns. His manner clearly told that he was in anger too.

"I need more allies, but there are many messes to be cleaned up here. We should prevent the enemy realized that the king's escape. I will be proud to receive your service."

"I am proud to serve your command, Mother," Jack answered without hesitation. His uniform is almost covered in blood. His mess up appearance looks so pitiful, but everyone knew his berserk.

Nindya smile and laugh. She seems to has her own understanding of Jack's.

"He just can't stand his broken heart watching enemies had human sacrifice for their black magic. So he runs amok, Mother." Meyrlion chuckled.

"Oh, I see. Well Jack, don't be reckless." Granny Nindya chuckled too.

"So these two are those survivors?" Nindya asked while pointing into Sagala and a female Jack has brought there.

"Yes, grandma." This time Tyas answers her. She put a step and give a spoiled hug.

"Oh dear, thank you." Nindya stroke her hair affectionally.

"Boys, let none enemy escape. Eliminate every threat. Put a curse to those who surrender. After that, make a proper preparation and catch me up in the Capital City of Magelang."

"Understood, mother." Meyrlion nods.

"Considerate it has done, mother," Jack said.

"Then I take my leave now.."

"Wait. Mother." Jack halt her.

"What Is it, my boy?"

"Where is the exact location we should find you?"

📌 WESTERN ROYAL CASTLE

✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲✲

Battle cries resounded around the western castle. After the front gate was destroyed, all the raider force were storming in.

The castle guard has already fled. No one will obstruct their mission. Some of them are drunk in the victory. They are looting freely and acting as if they were the great conqueror.

But strangely, not even a cat found, let alone the King.

The castle was totally empty, absent of the presence of any living being.

These facts build an anxious mind inside Captain Dolf Henselijn, leader of the First company of Marcog Forces. He could not understand why such an important place could become so quiet.

Moreover, He has not completely revealed the mysterious disappearance of his fellows along with their subordinates.

Actually, a soldier missing in action during the war was not an unusual case. But now he has lost his fellow captain, Captain Gijsje Bosscha of the second company, First Corporal Marckstraat, First Corporal Gust Poelakker, along with their subordinates.

His aide even gave him another shocked calculation, they just lost about a hundred personnel, almost one fifth from total despatched forces!

What kind of war is this? Who exactly did they face?

Somehow this empty castle feels so eerie and deadly.

"Search everything! Find the King, kill others, let none live!" Captain Dolf Henselijn shouted angrily.

"Yes Sir!"

Four hundred invaders searched all corners across the castle. From the basement, veranda and so on. The wardrobe was dismantled, the table chair was thrown and the royal treasure was looted.

Even the basement to the chimney is not spared from searching.

But no one found. Not even a gecko, or a cat, or a maid, moreover The King. As if they have never existed here.

One hour later, everyone exhausted.

"Cursed!" Captain Dolf shouted. He felt being played by someone.

"Burn this fucking castle !"

"Yes, Captain!"

Woooz ! Woooz !

Some of his subordinates cast a pyromagic into the wood material and carpet.

The castle is now set in fire.

The cold night has been broken by the blaze of flame ignites the castle. The sound of wood clattering on the fire sounded like music from the hell.

It is two hours past midnight.

The exhausted soldiers are gathering in the front yard of the castle.

It's been a week they walk non stop and sleepless just to make sure their mission succeed.

But their only one prey are already gone.

They knew. Their mission has failed. They can not found The King. He was a long escaped. Not even a cat dare to stay behind.

But how they know? This thought somehow decreased their morale.

Their body is tired and their muscles refuse to obey soldiers' disciplines. Some of them are already half asleep, some of them are trying to expel drowsiness with liquor.

Captain Dolf stunned. He just realized how tired his subordinates were. All that they need was a bit of sleep and new spirits.

Captain Dolf decide to take a stroll around the burning castle. He took his aide to walk around.

Johan, his aide just preparing to lay his body in the ground. But he did not dare to refuse. With half-hearted, he tags along with his captain.

"Johan, what do you think now?"

"To be frank, Sir. We already lost the game. Judging by so many missed things until now, I have drawn into a conclusion that.. our plan has long the leakage."

"Do you mean, is there someone betrays us?"

"Moreover, we might have been conducted to much noise, so they easily read our move."

Captain Dolf brood over.

"Sir, I suggest we retreat and inform our team which resides in the Capital of Magelang City. To prevent another failure in the coup d'état."

"You right, Johan. The King's escape would be enough to disrupt the overall plan. We can not commit another mistake. Once the dawn comes, we set up to go."

"Yes, Sir!"

Saying no word again, both of them heading back to their post. Everyone was busy with their mind. Their face was obviously gloomy.
