Chapter 11 - I can't even begin to comprehend

Shen could not bear what had happened

"Why?" He said between the tears and sobs

" Why did you stay? Why make someone weak your pupil? Why?"

He clutched his chest tightly "Why me? There were so many better people could have been chosen"

He sat silent for a while and began to think "He knew...He knew that I wanted glory and he gave me the chance to get it."Shin's sniffled and wiped away his tears.

" I cannot waste this chance given to me." Shen steeled himself. He must make the most of this. After a few moments of thanking Shu in his heart.

I'll get revenge for you Shu. even if it kills me!" Shens eyes looked like volcanos flowing with rage

***********

In a chamber above Shen's room. a round table in a large room occupied by 7 individuals. The large frame of the King was one of them sitting in the middle. One of the men in a blue cloak began to speak.

"Is this information reliable? I mean he is nothing but a child! How could we trust him?" The man said. Hydris spoke "Shu would not give his blades up willingly. He chose this boy to take his place" he said calmly.

"It could have been forcefully taken. The boy could be a spy from one of the grand master's." The man said worried for his King's judgment." there is something you all don't know about the other grand master's and I." Hydris said.

"We, of course, have abilities beyond normal and some of us can even enchant." some of the men looked to each other in disbelief.

Enchanting is a rare ability that takes concentration and endurance. A country is sometimes measured by who has the best enchanters.

"Shu was one such person" he continued "and he enchanted the blades with powerful enchantments. It is called *Message infusion* and something unknown at the moment."

He stabs the knife into the table, and the bottom of the blade began to light up.

A Video began to come from the light. it was the moment when he first showed the blades to Shen, up to Shu's death. "Do you all understand now?"

The hooded figures began to nod their heads. "Good. Now that you understand I will be teaching the child from now on any objections?"

The King looked around the room.

No one objected.

"Good. The lessons will start tomorrow with Monsoon. That is all." The hooded men began to leave the room.

***************

Shen who lay sleeping in his room sneezed himself awake " huh mhm" and jolted up before falling asleep again.

*************

The next morning.

Shen woke up determined, He got up and got dressed in the clothes provided to him, a white and blue suit that had a pendant on the tie,

They were too big on him

[magic item equipped]

The clothes shrank to fit his body. "Neat!" Shen said.

"This system can see magic items too?" Shen thought

Shen was still getting ready when he heard a knock at the door. Shen opened the door to see a Buttler in a blue suit and a tall figure.

"Hello, Master Shen I have come to accompany you to class by order of the King." The butler was bowing.

"But before then." The butler put his arm out.

" You must be starved. Please follow me to the dining room."

The butler turned around and Shin followed and asked "Excuse me"

The butler looked at Shen "Is something not to your liking?" The butler asked.

"No no, I just wanted to ask where my daggers are," Shen said waving his hand in a hasty manner.

"Oh, you will be receiving them soon. Is that all?" The butler said with a grin.

"Yes thank you, mister..." "Sebastian" The butler cut Shen off while fixing his black hair.

After a short walk, the butler stopped next to the door leading to the dining room

"The King awaits you inside I shall wait here." Sebastian bowed and pointed to the door

"Thank you Sebastian" Shen said as he entered the room.

As Shen entered he saw a huge room with a long table in the middle, the table was filled with various foods and fruits. Shin's mouth began to water and his stomach began to growl.

A voice rang out through the spacious room.

"Shen I'm glad your here" Hydris waved him to the other end of the table.

"Your majesty" Shen responded respectfully.

"I'm sure your in a hurry to receive your blades but for now they have to be analyzed so I will return them when I am able I apologize about the wait" Hydris offered a seat to Shen.

"Ah ok" Shen wanted the blades back but he couldn't defy the kings order and just sat respectfully in the chair beside Hydris

"Now I'd like to speak to you about something," Hydris said

"About what, "Shin said curiosity present in his voice.

"What do you know about spells?" Hydris asked.

"Not much" Shin replied.

Since Shin only knew a basic healing spell he couldn't say that he was well versed on the topic of magic.

"Well since the class is gonna start soon I'll explain something to you quickly," Hydris said.

"And that Is?" Shen asked one eyebrow raised.

"That there is one thing a magic wielder must do in order to use his gift. All magic relies on comprehension without that magic won't work. low-level spells take a small amount of comprehension to learn" Hydris said.

"But much more to enhance and learn better versions of those skills. keep that in mind when trying to study, or training a new spell. The better you comprehend the more likely you are to succeed. Understood?" Hydris explained the rules to Shen and add that he could visit the library if ever needed.

"Thank you Hydris this information will help me greatly" Shen bowed and politely excused himself from the dining room. Shen then followed Sebastian to the classroom.

"Have a good day master Shen" Sebastian bowed. "Excuse me Sebastian" Sebastian turned his head to look at Shin "Please just call me Shin master seems pretentious" Shen said with a smirk.

Sebastian blinked in surprise and then let out a chuckle "Ok then Shen. You'll fit in quite well here"

Sebastian said remembering a young prince asking him the same. "Well have a nice day Shin." "Thank you," Shen said opening the door to the class.
