Chapter 53 - He Run Away

"Team, team captain!"

One of the soldiers in charge of the rear defense of the Wings of War had just spoken two words when he noticed a gun pressed against his forehead.

Shen Chengfeng pointed at the weapon on his body and signaled him to put it down, "This is just an exercise. I do not wish for any casualties to occur in the end."

The little soldier obediently placed the gun on the ground and hid his body along with Shen Chengfeng.

"Someone's attacking."

The wary Wings instantly separated.

Shen Chengfeng picked up the assault rifles and looked at the bullets inside. They were all high-precision imitation bullets. When the bullets entered his body, there would be a momentary paralysis or even a sharp pain.

Mo Luo heard the sound of a gun being fired, his expression turned cold, not expecting the enemy to be behind him, he urgently ordered, "Everyone hide."

Jiang Feng frowned and said, "I don't know how many people there are at the moment. Captain, are we going to continue attacking?"

The corner of Mo Luo's mouth slightly curled, "Could it be that the elites of our Wings of War can't even beat their new recruit?"

Jiang Feng wanted to say something, but he hesitated. He wanted to say, what if the other side didn't send a new recruit?

Even though their Wings of War was higher than Tie Ying's level, if they were to fight, they would be caught off guard and killed. After all, Shen Chengfeng was a well-known living hell. There was a precedent for them to fight.

"Captain, a squad is wiped out."

A person spoke anxiously into the communicator.

Hearing this, the smile on Mo Luo's face froze as he repeated, "A team wipe?"

Jiang Feng silently calculated the time they would take to send out a team. In just five minutes, not a single team of five people would be able to survive.

Mo Luo picked up the sniper rifle and directly climbed up the ten-meter tall tree. He surveyed the entire forest, and the morning sun pierced through the gaps between the trees, recklessly sprinkling down like starlight.

"Bang!"

In the depths of the forest, the sound of a gunshot rang out, and the entire forest was filled with flocks of birds.

Xiao Jing hid behind a tree, gasping for breath. She looked at the tree trunk that had a layer of bark cut off from her right side by the bullet, her hands gripping the AK assault rifle more and more tightly.

"I missed a cat. It seems to be a small wild cat."

The man's voice was slightly complacent, as if he had seen the weakness of his opponent.

Xiao Jing held her breath. She heard the sound of footsteps approaching her. She hesitated to use her body as bait.

"Bang!"

When she was exposed, she pulled the trigger without hesitation.

Qi Sheng lay on his side, using the big tree as a cover to block the bullet's attack. Then, he also pulled the trigger.

Xiao Jing held onto the rifle, as if she was waiting for the other party's shot. She attentively observed the direction of the bullet, and snapped her index finger.

She fired twice in quick succession, "Bang, bang!"

Qi Sheng did not have the time to retract his hand. The bullet grazed his wrist and the gun fell to the ground. His body subconsciously wanted to pick it up.

"Clang!"

Xiao Jing dropped her dagger. Her sharp blade was so bright that it stabbed an inch in front of the handgun. Just a second more and it would have stabbed into Qi Sheng's hand.

Qi Sheng quickly withdrew his hand, giving up on the handgun. He hid behind the tree trunk and placed one hand on his knife case.

Xiao Jing did not take advantage of the situation to chase after them. Instead, she fired two more shots at the big tree before turning around and running away.

Qi Sheng waited silently for the enemy to approach. Under these circumstances, the enemy would definitely chase after him and deal him a fatal blow.

He buckled the sheath tightly, calculating how long it would take to get close to him.

One second, ten seconds, sixty seconds, two minutes, three minutes …

A drop of sweat dripped down Qi Sheng's neck, but there was no movement behind him. He considered whether he should go out and see what was happening.

"Gu gu gu gu."

Birds flew up.

Qi Sheng could not wait any longer. He picked up his saber and ran out from behind the tree.

He thought that his movements were dashing and agile, his grandeur majestic, and then in front of him …

No one!

It was as if he had just fired a shot, but the other party had already given up running in the early morning.

He ran!

The prey in his hands ran away right in front of him.

Just a moment ago, he was still full of ambition to kill off this bunch of arrogant fellows.

But the other side just fired two shots at him and ran away?

According to the habits of the Special Forces, shouldn't they kill him in one move?

As expected, this person wasn't a novice. He must have seen through his sneak attack.

So he was an expert.

Xiao Jing panted as she hid in the grass. She gently patted her chest. Fortunately, she was fast.

She didn't know whether to laugh or cry as she looked at her magazine. It was empty, including the two empty cannons.

"Who is it?"

"Come out!"

Xiao Jing's body stiffened. She glanced behind her and saw a person expressionlessly pointing an assault rifle at her small body.

"I'll count to three and come out myself."

The other side aimed at the underbrush, making sure to shoot as soon as there was any movement.

Xiao Jing raised her hands and walked out of the bush, then said, "I surrender."

The man narrowed his eyes and pointed to a spot two meters in front of him, saying, "Squat down while hugging your head."

Xiao Jing squatted on the ground as if she was listening to his orders. She watched as the shadow gradually approached her without any movement.

The man looked at the military emblem on Xiao Jing's shoulder and asked warily, "You are from the Iron Eagle Squad?"

Xiao Jing nodded. "Let's practice separately. We'll be fine."
