Chapter 41 - Palawan: Beach House

Word reached Chloe about Brian's plans, and she immediately instructed the doctors to release her, or she would walk out. The doctors obliged and released her per her orders. Grabbing her belongings and dressed in nothing but a hospital gown, she left the hospital. Buzzing down the streets, taking turn after turn, praying she reached Brian before he left. She needed to clear things up before he left. He needed to know that she was sorry and didn't want space. She pulled into the airport, dashing through the crowd and shoving one person after the next. When she finally spotted Brian about to enter his gate. She gathered all the voice she had and shouted around the loud bustling of people. "BRIAN HUGHES, STOP!!!" Brian heard her voice and turned to see her struggling to get past the crowded area. Brian smiled for a split second and then turned and exited toward the plane. Chloe stopped pushing through the crowd. She fell to her knees and cried. She knew he saw her; why did he continue to leave? Did she push him away too many times? What was she to do now? She was too caught up in her emotions to realize someone had placed a hand on her shoulder. "Chloe, why don't you stand and come with me?" She knew from the voice it was Ryan. She looked into his eyes and cried again. "Why did he leave me? He saw me and still left." "Calm down. We can get you a plane ticket to join him. If you want, go chase him down and make him listen. Don't give up." Chloe nodded her head. "Yes, where did he go?" "First, you need to get changed." Chloe finally realized that she was still in her hospital gown. It caused her to blush. "Yeah, maybe we can find some clothes." Chloe laughed nervously. "It's ok, sweetie I brought your clothes. After you left me at the hospital, I called Ryan, and he filled me in on what he knew. He picked me up from the hospital after you left me." Chloe smiled when she saw Sam. Glad to have such wonderful friends. After changing into something more decent, Ryan bought her a ticket to Palawan. He provided her with the address for the beach house where Brian was to stay. The only worry Chloe had was, what if he left to be with another woman?

Brian heard someone call his name as he was boarding his flight. He turned and saw Chloe shoving her way through the crowd. He laughed a little, seeing her attire. This meant she left the hospital without changing. He turned and entered the gate to his plane. He knew she wanted to talk, but he had a plan, and this plan called for her to follow him. After boarding his private jet, yeah he could have made it wait, after all, he did own it. He sent Ryan a message 'Chloe is at the airport half dressed. Please get her some clothes and buy her a ticket. Give her this address 123 XXX ST. Tell her to follow me and make it your idea. If she knew, she would never follow.' Brian then shut his phone off and instructed the pilot to take off. He had to hurry so he could prepare for his guest. After about an 18-hour flight, Brian departed his plane and headed to the house. He made a few stops to ensure that everything went according to plan. He had already determined that if she followed him, then she was his, but if she didn't, then he would let her go and never come back. Seeing her again would have been too painful. A sigh of relief escaped his lips when he finally received a message from Ryan 'She is headed your way. It's all up to you now, so don't let me down. You have about 20 hours before she lands. Make it worth the while.' Brian smiled, knowing she followed meant everything in the world to him that she was on her way. It said she still cared, and he still had a chance. Before the kidnapping, he had plans to apologize and try to explain everything to her, but that cunt ruined it all. Now, he wouldn't miss the chance a second time.

Chloe sat on the plane, worried about every possible outcome when she would arrive to see Brian. She knew the trip would take forever, and she was prepared.

At the airport, Sam looked at Ryan disapprovingly. "You know, if she gets there and he breaks her heart, I'm going to break you, right?" Ryan laughed. "Honey, do you think I would have sent her if he didn't want me to?" Sam thought for a moment and reached a conclusion, slapping Ryan playfully. "You jerks planned this?" "No, he planned it. He told me to put her on a plane and gave me an address to give her. It is all Brian." Sam found herself swooning at the romance of it all. Ryan became a little jealous, knowing what was turning in her head.

Chloe finally landed and found there was a huge language barrier. She wasn't sure how to hail a cab, let alone give directions. While standing outside the airport, she noticed a slender man holding a sign with her name on it. She went up to him, pointed at the sign, and pointed back at herself. She was trying to signal that he was waiting for her. The driver acknowledged and ushered her into the car. Chloe didn't think too much about the situation. She just figured Ryan had set it up for her. Either way, it made it so much easier. As she was traveling down one road after another, she noticed the scenery. There were bright green trees, with an almost perfect view of the ocean at every turn. It was breathtaking. She thought to herself that she would need to thank Ryan for this chance to see such a sight. After about 30 minutes of driving, the car pulled into a narrow drive, and the driver ushered her to exit. After she climbed out of the vehicle, the driver took off. "Hey, where am I?" She yelled to the driver who didn't stop. "Ugh!"

She turned and took a look at the massive house. It was a wooden structure with an elegant dark brown color. She looked at the single floor home standing on stilts. She assumed it was in case it flooded. There were three flights of stairs she had to take to get to the house. She thought the place looked like something out of a Southern Living magazine or something. She began her ascent upstairs and almost forgot why she was here when she finally reached the top. The top of the stairs led to a wrap-around porch, which gave a magnificent view of the ocean. As she walked around, she noticed that the side of the house facing the sea was made of glass. She gasped when she saw inside; everything was so beautiful. She spotted a comfy fireplace and a fluffy white couch. After taking in the sights, she decided to knock on the front door. She waited and knocked again. No answer, until she heard a familiar voice from behind the house. Walking back again, she saw Brian. He was leaning against the railing. She became shy for some reason and a bit embarrassed. It couldn't have been because Brian stood in the light with nothing but shorts on.

A sight she has never experienced. He stood with his six-pack abs leaned against the rail with his beautiful wavy hair flowing in the wind. His bulging biceps...ugh, Chloe get a grip. She dozed off into a dream world. Snapping her back to reality, "Hey, beautiful. I see you found me." "Um... Yeah, I felt we still needed to discuss a few things." "That's a great idea. I made dinner, do you want some?" Chloe was shocked because he didn't sound mad even though he had every right to be. "Yes, I would love dinner."
