Over the next few days, the school week passed by in a blur. Mark, Lucius, and Alex spent their time in school focused on their studies, but also found moments to joke around and enjoy each other's company. They engaged in playful banter during lunch breaks, shared notes in class, and even had a few friendly competitions to see who could finish their assignments the fastest. As they navigated the halls of their high school, it was clear their bond was growing stronger.
As the last day of the week came to an end, the trio gathered their things and said their goodbyes. "Alright, guys, see you tomorrow at the school entrance," Mark said with a grin. Lucius and Alex nodded in agreement, looking forward to the day of exploration that awaited them.
On his way home, Lucius couldn't help but feel excited about the upcoming weekend. He had already settled into his new town, and the prospect of spending time with his friends outside of school was both thrilling and comforting. He thought about the different places they might visit and wondered what surprises awaited them.
The next morning, Lucius woke up early, eager to start the day. As he prepared for the day, he realized he might need some extra cash for their shopping excursion. Picking up his phone, he dialed the number of his accountant.
"Good morning, Mr. Thompson," Lucius said once the call was connected. "I was wondering if you could transfer a portion of my savings to my regular bank account. I'm going shopping with friends today."
"Of course, Lucius," Mr. Thompson replied. "How much would you like me to transfer? Would $5,000 be sufficient?"
Lucius's eyes widened. "No, no, no, that's way too much. I need something like a normal high schooler's allowance for shopping. Maybe $100 or $150?"
"Understood," Mr. Thompson responded. "I'll transfer $150 to your account right away. Have a great day, Lucius."
"Thank you, Mr. Thompson," Lucius said before hanging up, feeling a bit drained from the conversation.
He then made his way to his wardrobe, a large walk-in closet filled with clothes of various styles and colors. There were neatly stacked piles of shirts, ranging from casual tees to more formal dress shirts, and an assortment of pants that included jeans, slacks, and chinos. Lucius carefully selected a dark green shirt, a pair of black jeans, and a light gray jacket, deciding to deviate from his usual all-white attire.
Once dressed, he made his way to the bathroom to brush his teeth and comb his hair. He scrutinized his reflection in the mirror, ensuring his appearance was presentable for the day ahead. Finally satisfied with his look, he grabbed his phone, wallet, and keys, and headed out the door to meet his friends at the school.
Lucius left his house, ready for a day of shopping and bonding with his friends. He made sure to greet his friendly neighbors with a warm "Good morning!" as he walked down the street, enjoying the pleasant atmosphere of the neighborhood.
As he approached the school, he spotted Alex and Mark already waiting for him. With a grin, he picked up his pace and jogged over to them, laughing as he arrived. "Hey, guys!" he said, slightly out of breath.
"Hey, Lucius!" Mark replied, a smile on his face. "The girls told us they'll meet us at the mall."
"Sounds good," Lucius said, and the three of them started walking towards the mall, which was only a few blocks away.
As they walked, they fell into a light conversation about various topics. At some point, Mark brought up the subject of movies, and Alex mentioned how he found a certain actress attractive. This naturally led to the conversation shifting towards what kind of girls each of them liked.
"You know," Alex began, "I've always had a thing for girls who are adventurous and outgoing. Someone who's not afraid to try new things and can keep up with my energy."
Mark nodded thoughtfully. "That's cool, man. I think I'm more into girls with a unique sense of style, you know? Something that makes them stand out. As for physical appearance, I like girls who are a bit shorter than me, maybe with some nice curves."
Alex grinned, "Yeah, I get that. And you know, I've always had a thing for girls with long legs and a cute face. It just catches my eye, you know?"
Lucius considered their preferences before chiming in, "Well, for me, I like girls who have a great smile – one that can light up a room. As for the rest, I'm not too picky, but I do appreciate someone who's fit and takes care of themselves."
Mark laughed, "Oh, so you're into the athletic type, huh?"
"Yeah, I guess you could say that," Lucius replied with a grin.
Alex nudged Mark playfully, "What about you, man? You never really told us what you're into besides the unique style and being shorter than you."
Mark scratched his head, thinking for a moment. "Well, I guess I like girls who have a bit of a toned stomach and a cute butt, you know? And I've always been a sucker for nice eyes."
The three of them chuckled, and Lucius asked, "What about hair color? Do you guys have any preferences?"
Alex shrugged, "Not really, I think any hair color can look good if it suits the person. What about you guys?"
Mark agreed, "Same here, man. Any hair color can be attractive as long as it works for the person."
Lucius nodded, "Yeah, I feel the same way. It's more about the overall package than specific details for me."
Alex suddenly smirked, "Oh, I think I know what Lucius's type is, though." He dramatically cleared his throat and began his exaggerated description. "Let's see... someone with long, wavy hair, a captivating smile, and a certain charm about her that makes her hard to resist. Oh, and let's not forget about those expressive eyes!"
Mark snickered, joining in on the teasing, "Yeah, sounds awfully familiar, doesn't it? Almost like someone we know... Kate, perhaps?"
Lucius rolled his eyes, trying to deflect their teasing. "Oh, come on, guys. That's not fair. I just met her, and we're just friends."
Alex laughed, "We're just messing with you, man. But seriously, you've got to admit she's pretty much the embodiment of everything you described."
Mark added, "Yeah, and you can't deny that there's some chemistry between you two."
Lucius sighed, a slight blush creeping onto his face. "Alright, alright, maybe she does fit the description. But that doesn't mean anything, okay? We're just getting to know each other."
The conversation continued, with Alex and Mark playfully teasing Lucius and trying to get more details about his feelings for Kate, while Lucius continued to defend himself and insist that they were just friends. Despite the teasing, the mood remained lighthearted and fun, and their laughter filled the air as they made their way to the mall.
