It takes only one second for the right person to enter our lives... And that one second delay in recognition of that right person leaves life long regret in our hearts...
That was felicitation day... It's a tradition of every high school that they celebrate the event for top ranked and felicitate them.
It was a really busy day for Gaurav. He was supposed to welcome the guests, arrange the event schedule and he was also gonna sing a song.
Students were rushing here and there on the back stage, arranging costumes, practicing dance steps, making props. But then on that busy back stage, gaurav witnessed two girls relaxing.. OMG đ± it's a crime...
" hey, which event do you girls belong? "Â he asked in a hurry.
"no!! come saranya let's go," heera hurried. But the other girl was not ready to move from that place.
"no! Heera wait, " she said and turned to face gaurav," we are not in any event," she smiled. The girl just wanted to talk to him.
"lets go Heera and you, if you need any help, we are just there near the stage," she caught hold of her friend's hand and left the place. Gaurav smiled to himself.
It's natural, sometimes it is a small encounter with someone or some place, that stays in our hearts forever, maybe the story just can last long or can remain incomplete.
That day was a sparkling day with great entertainment and sweet memories for someone.
Saranya anticipated to meet gaurav after that day but she couldn't, because the distance between them was girls hostel. She lives in the school dorm, where there is no network, no phones allowed and no relationships accepted.
Days passed and summer came searching for everyone who were exhausted with the daily academic routine. Saranya was so happy that she could finally go home from that so called jail, but less she knows that was gonna be the best summer of her life.
"papa, I can't take this anymore, I just can't be in that dormitory , not next year," she pleaded her father,
" OK, you can go from home, but you should go in the school bus," he decided. " OK, papa," she said.
A novel in her hand, cup of cold coffee, lying on her bed and having her phone in the other hand, saranya started her old tradition of stalking others on social media. Then was the time she found a interesting profile...GAURAV... She smiled and sent a friend request, but she shut the phone.
Two mins later **
She was really restless, that she couldn't help but start her phone again and a notification displayed. To her surprise, it was him. 'oh shit, what to do now,'
She accepted the conversation request and a quick message flashed.
G: Hi
S: hi felicitation boy
G: u r the same girl ...so your.     name is saranya.. Hi I'm. Â
  gaurav
'so formal ahh'Â S: I know you
G: so stalking ah!!

G: đđđ
S: đ
G: Can I call you?
S:Â So u r asking for my num
G: đł
S:Â maybe tomorrow, and for
   nowÂ
  bye..blushing boy..
Gaurav was so happy, that he could finally talk to her. Maybe, it's the magic of love at first sight (Pehli nazar mein pyaar )
that gave special feelings.
What is love at first sight? Can it have better definitions than the usual, falling for someone in the sight one? It's just a special feeling that happens to capture us and the drives us to know the significant opposite more that we could fall in love with them... I'm I true??
Summer ran fast with beautiful short conversations, long phone calls and developing feelings.
"what do you wanna do? I mean in future," she asked with enthusiasm.
"me, I want to be a Air Force officer...I had appeared for NDA entrance test and I have physical examination test next week. You know it's my dream, " he said proudly .
"oh, so you are gonna be a soldier," she asked quietly.
"hey, I gotta leave now, bye," he hung up the call.
It's just the idea of distance in a newly cherishing relationship that tends to avoid the other person... It is just the fear of ending up the relationship in a haste.
That day was slow. Many thoughts flooded in Saranya's mind. 'no baby no, it's his decision.'
"hey girl, whazzup?" Gaurav sat beside her. The school bus escalated
"nothing,"Â she nodded.
"hey, are you free tonight? " he asked quietly.
"what?? " she was surprised, "hey, no offense, just want to show you something."
The bus halted. "okay," she said
"thank you, I will wait for you after the school, bye," he rushed out of the bus.
After school, Gaurav met her near the canteen and they walked to his house.
" no, I can't come in. Your mom will be there," she pulled back.
"Saranya, she is just my mom, not a ghost," he smiled.
She stopped there for one minute. That was the first time he called her by name. She smiled silently.
" no, please," she pleaded.
They went upstairs to the terrace before his mother noticed. The sunlight was dimming. The assorted shade of the sunset and raising moonlight gave life to the atmosphere.
" i like it here," she was elated.
" come, I will show you something,"Â he asked for her hand.
She smiled.
It was a small yellow colored tent. Inside was beautifully hung stars and sparkling lighting everywhere. It was matched with yellow cushions on the floor.
" this is my all time favorite place," he said with delight.
"I love this," she smiled like the world could end up and that moment was enough for the life time.
" And, I want to tell you something," two heart beats raising to the maximum threshold. This was the moment the girl was waiting for.
" I'm leaving tomorrow....to pune..to take the physical exam,"
Gaurav said loudly which broke the silence of echoing heart beats.
"oh have a safe journey.. I hope you will pass,"Â she said calmly.
"can I leave?" that was the last three words she said to him.
He smiled.
If gaurav had stopped her there, and confessed everything that's in his heart...
If saranya had turned back and asked him about his feelings....
As already said it takes one second realize the right person of our lives...
Will this one second silence, holds this relationship to get attached or breaks it totally???
To be continued... Â
