Synopsis
From the simplest lead to the hardest mithril, Kayn was someone capable of manipulating metals like no other of his kind, but for that very reason he was despised merging the soul of a dragonian was a forbidden and blasphemous act for the dragon-smiths which Kayn never cared about. The wind of the horizon began to call him to warmer and friendlier lands where he would begin his first adventure, as a Dragonian blacksmith and as a dragonian who would decide to change the history and the laws to his whim and similarity. This is my first novel. So there will be some spelling errors since I've never done this.

Chapter 1 - The breath that gives life to a metal.

Clank.

Clank.

Clank.

The sound of the hammer hitting could be heard inside a cave where Kayn was forging different types of metals.

Clank.

Clank.

Clank.

The strong and violent hammering continued without being interrupted for a moment until Kayn finally decided to put the finishing touches on this metal in which he had worked so many hours.

"Just a simple piece of bronze on the part of those bandits." He said to himself with a tone of disbelief and discontent for the result of his work.

Kayn, raised his hand holding the sword up as if admiring it, admiring its details, his figure, his own soul in that weapon, but he was not happy, because at that time he was unable to work with other metals better or even have the luck to find them in caves or weapons of local bandits to melt and reuse them.

Strangely to his eyes the weapons and armor that Kayn forged during his last 2900 years were considered as masterpieces while he considered them worthless garbage.

"A waste, useless materials, could be of better use in something else." He said aloud, raising his hammer again, pressing it against the anvil ready to start again with another piece of bronze.

At the entrance of the cave, the rays of the sun were present warning that the morning was beginning and that the night was leaving.

"It's been 2850 years since that day, huh?" He said watching the sun rise on the horizon in the distance throwing the sword out of the cave.

His face showed an expression of discontent and frustration, frustration for having failed to create a better weapon.

Kayn took another piece of bronze which he lifted with both hands in a delicate way and began to exhale his fire breath causing the piece of bronze to begin to give off a slight aura that made the metal even lighter than it already was.

The process Kayn was going through was called the "breath of life" something that was forbidden to all existing dragonians, although he was never really good at following the rules or orders of others of his own kind.

Kayn was especially different from those of his own species more specifically his breath was special, this was able to give life and consciousness to the metals which when used to create weapons or armor that they became strong and grew with their carriers.

For that same reason, the older and wise Dragonians completely forbade Kayn from forging a metal in his life which only brought disgust and hatred to authority.

So he decided to leave the hidden citadel and explore the world outside the city and forge the weapon of his dreams.

Although almost 2850 years had passed since he left and in all that time he was unable to forge such a weapon.

Kayn felt that he wasted his time, his youth, his life trying to forge a weapon or armor that was perfect in his eyes.

Steps.

Steps.

Steps.

Kayn was about to start hitting the piece of bronze again until it stopped mid-air listening to a few steps at the entrance to the cave.

Kayn never in his life had received visits from anyone except a couple of monsters and bear 4 arms who wanted to stay in his cave, but the footsteps he heard seemed to be accompanied by a certain metallic sound.

"Armors, surely human or dwarf." He told himself taking a sword that was on the side of the anvil which was also made of bronze.

Even though the steps were closer and closer, Kayn decided to wait for these mysterious visitors to get close enough to him, but the steps a few seconds later stopped being heard and the only thing that Kayn was able to hear was the fire of The forge and the wind blowing out of the cave.
