Nuvian Lore

In the beginning, there was nothing. From this vast nothingness a small flame was born, and from that flame, a goddess emerged. This goddess; her name was Nuvia, she created the bright and beautiful world that would later take on her name, as well as the ones who inhabit it, Nuvians. She created the 6 races of Nuvia. Humans who are blessed with a strong will and determination. The Beastials, blessed with strong senses and reflexes. The Dracokin, blessed with superior strength and the affinity for fire. The Elves, blessed with intellect and loved by nature itself--that brings affinity to all elements. The Fairies, blessed with wings and an affinity for water and wind. And finally, the Vampires, blessed with strong resilient bodies, large magic reserves, long lifespans, and the ability to sustain themselves on, as well as control the bloodshed of the 6 races. They are the strongest out of all the races and have taken the authority to help bring peace for everyone. For a long time, there was peace, Nuvia and her creations were all happy, society progressed to the point where magic became more technical. The Nuvians quickly figured out how to distribute magic and wield it for convenience. Magic circuits ran through every piece of technology that was created. Mechanical transportation, magical battery packs, magic based heaters, and lighting. Academies were built for teaching the youth on how to handle/control their magic. But little did Nuvia know that she wasn't the only one born from that small flame. A short time after she created the world, someone else crawled from the flame just before it was snuffed out. Where there is light, shadows are formed. His name was, Apollyon--he also had the power to create. He descended upon Nuvia and her creations; ignorant to the world she created. Being welcomed warmly by Nuvia, he settled into the world and after some time of seeing the world around him flourish, he began to create monsters. When Nuvia confronted him for disturbing her peaceful world all he said was,

"What is peace without conflict? What is love without hate? What is the point of such a boring world?"

Appalled and confused by this question, Nuvia banished Apollyon from her world. With the wave of her hand, she cast him out back into the nothingness. Furious, Apollyon created his own world and named it Ordel. The world of Ordel was a dark and twisted place, deep red skies and seas of molten lead. Apollyon created the seventh race; The Demons, fueled by emotion, they are inherently dark creatures. He created eight extremely powerful demons and they became his children. Over time, he built his army with the singular goal of destroying Nuvia and her boring world, and after some time he was ready. Back in the world Nuvia created, the monsters Apollyon created, were still running wild, uncontrollable by Nuvia and not easily defeated by her creations. Until a woman from the bestial race began to fight back. Quickly the world was becoming more adept at fighting back, much to Nuvia's dismay. Around the world, the races began to create new fighting styles. These new racial fighting styles would be known as Arts and their respective founders would come to be known as, "The Six Artists of Nuvia."

The Artists consisted of, Fiona "The Storm" Dell. The fox Beastial and first Artist, a strong-willed and stubborn woman. Hardened by many of her family and friends killed by monsters. Thus, inspiring her to fight back, and fight back well with the Arts she created using her natural talents as a bestial. Her Shifters; a set of gauntlets and boots, high speed and agility, to punch, kick, and claw her way through hordes of monsters like a storm, earning her nickname. At the same time, the other races were creating and perfecting their own ways of fighting back against the monsters.

Alpine "Heaven's Scale" Mcloud, the Dracokin. He earned his nickname from how his gold and white scaled body gleamed as he fought. Infused with his affinity for fire, he would fight with enormous strength while erupting flames throughout his body. He was also the first Stavesman user of the giant scythe "Iskandar". Despite his appearance, Alpine was a very smart, gentle, and calm man. He was a scientist who created an entirely new class of magic, gravity manipulation, for him to be able to wield the massive scythe he used for his Art. Fueled solely by the desire to protect his and all the races of Nuvia's world, he vowed to fight for everyone.

Graven "The Sun" Bramwell, who was Human, wielded the two blades of "Defiance" and "Acceptance." The first swordsman and original founder of Siren Academy. Graven was an outgoing and cheerful man, he attracted people to his side because of the way he had with words. Therefore, if he ever needed help with anything, he would have someone there to aid him. Through this, he earned his nickname because everyone gravitated towards him, like planets around the sun.

Mair "Conductor" Sage, the Elf. The leader of The Six Artists, first Manipulator, and wife of Graven Bramwell. She is a smart, natural tactician, with a harsh temper. She was nicknamed the "Conductor" because, on the battlefield, she conducted her allies with same speed and precision as she conducted her weapon, "Orchestra."

Alfrid "Perfectionist" Sternbriar, the Vampire and first Gunslinger. Alfrid was a strict man, no one ever dared to defy him, aside from Graven of course. His nickname, "Perfectionist"; he was called this for his perfectionistic ideals and combat. He created the Sternbriar Art. His proficiency with his dual pistols "The Plasma Scalpels," was immaculate. He and Graven never got along, but at the same time, shared a strong bond known only by those closest to them. Thus, making them a deadly duo.

Scarlet "The Temptress" Theos, the Fairy and first Summoner, using her "Ten Rings of Origin" to form a connection with the forces of nature themselves. She conjured embodiments of the base elements creating the Elementalist style. She was a woman who lived in the moment and many of those moments were spent tempting men and women into her bed.

With these six warriors, Nuvia's world was for the most part safe, the inhabitants forming massive cities the size of continents with high walls to keep out monsters, peace was restored. But this was short lived as Apollyon descended upon the world again, this time with his children and his army. In the blink of an eye, cities fell, entire populations snuffed out in an instant. The demons were raping and pillaging their ways through the world, the result being half demon children that could only be made with the humans. They were almost identical to humans except they were born with elongated pupils, brightly colored eyes, small horns sprouting from their foreheads, and different colored jewels embedded around their neck. For years, the warriors and their students fought back as much as possible, but without destroying Apollyon himself, the armies never dwindled. With the world on the brink of extinction, Nuvia received a visitor, a Demon and one of the eight children of Apollyon himself. She was a beautiful peach skin toned demon with swirls of blue and gold patterning from her shoulders down to her ankles. She went to Nuvia to ask to help her destroy Apollyon with the promise that her half-brethren not be persecuted. Nuvia, obviously suspicious as to why the Demon would betray her creator, she asked the demon.

"Why would you betray your father, your creator, your God? Do you hold no loyalties?" she responded with a simple and warm smile saying.

"Would you hold loyalties to a God, a father, and a creator as cruel as to destroy this beautiful world?"

Nuvia, moved by a creature conjured of pure darkness being able to emanate such warmth, embraced her and named the Demon, her champion. Nuvia compressed a portion of her power and conjured a sword and named it, "Pawn." Nuvia offered the sword to the Demon and said,

"If you would do me the honor, I offer on to you this sword of immeasurable power. All I ask in return is that you help save my world. Tell me, what is your name child."

"My name is Juvia, I am the first child of Apollyon and the embodiment of the sin of Love." Juvia proclaimed proudly as she knelt before Nuvia accepting the sword.

Juvia went to each of the Six Artists asking them to allow her to help. None of the artists could trust her and refused her offer until she got to Graven and Mair. Graven instantly accepted the offer much to the dismay of Mair. With the newly recruited Juvia, the Artists finally went to fight Apollyon to win back their world and to end the war with his dark forces. The battle was long and arduous, some of the artists died before reaching Apollyon, including Alpine and Scarlet, the rest were being backed into a corner. When all was lost, Nuvia descended from the skies over the battlefield with an army of what looked like pure white demons with large white avian wings. Finally, the tables were being turned, but even with the help of Nuvia and her small army, the heroes were still unable to get to Apollyon. Time was running out, Fiona sacrificed herself fighting off the remaining 7 children of Apollyon. Graven, Juvia, Mair, and Alfrid were the only ones left, they were all mortally wounded when they finally reached Apollyon. Nuvia confronted Apollyon at the warriors' side and all five of them attacked Apollyon at once. To no avail, Apollyon was more powerful than he had ever been and Nuvia was drained from creating her army. The only way to defeat him would require great sacrifice, at this moment Juvia in a fit of rage channeled all her power into the Pawn sword creating five other blades behind her--each with a different ability.

She lashed out at Apollyon stabbing him through with all six blades unleashing all her power depleting her magic completely. Apollyon infuriated unleashed a massive explosion with him at its core engulfing the heroes. Killing off Graven and Juvia. Nuvia in retaliation quelled his explosion and took the rest all upon herself, rushing into him and causing her own explosion, sacrificing herself to kill Apollyon. Then, ending the war that ravaged the land that would come to be named after its creator, Nuvia.

Mair and Alfrid finished off the remaining demons, then sealed the remaining seven wounded children into Apollyon's sword casting the remaining demons and the sword into Ordel. Honoring Juvia's sacrifice, the Half-Demons were not banished, although some still held animosity towards them. For the most part, they were treated kindly and quickly integrated into society. Juvia prophesied that Apollyon would come again, that he wouldn't go down for good. She suggested to always keep on guard and to prepare for anything. Everyone, filled with joy disregarded this. She still felt some magic of his presence among the lands. During the battle with Apollyon, she lost all of her magic, and what was left was her magical essence--her soul. The only way she could be of any help was to seal herself into the pawn sword, waiting for a hero to unlock its power and save Nuvia once again. Mair went on to be the second headmaster of Siren Academy in the city of Cerene and Alfrid became the founder of its sister school Herald Academy in the city of Fenrald.

The world was forever changed by the war. The population of Nuvia drastically decreased. The world lost its mother, its god. But as time went on and stories of the Seven Heroes of Nuvia were passed down from generation to generation. Finally, the world was at peace.

But can this peace last forever?
