Chapter 4 - Full Moon

The day after the party, Scarlet walked with Layla and Dave to school and saw Felix. "Go ahead without me," Scarlet told her friends, "I'll see you at lunch." and she ran towards Felix. He looked worried. "What's wrong?" Scarlet asked. "You know there's a full moon tomorrow, right? Well, I only ever did it once, and I don't want to do it alone. The last time I did it, my room was a huge mess, and I woke up in someone's log cabin. It was an hour away from my home!" Felix explained. Scarlet looked at him excitedly, "We could go to my parents cellar!" said Scarlet. Felix looked at Scarlet, "Cellar? Like a cage?" Felix asked, "Oh no, it's like a cave, but the entrance is locked." Felix thought about it. "Fine, I'll join you. That is if my foster parents agree." Felix looked around and sensed something off. Scarlet sensed it too. "It's coming from the woods," Scarlet said, "You wanna check it out?" Felix shook his head. "Not now, maybe after school." Scarlet nodded. They both went inside and went to their lockers. The got their books and supplies. Scarlet closed her locker and right when she turned around, Valarie was in front of her.

"Hey, where'd you go last night?" Valarie asked. "I was there," said Scarlet, "But, the scent of perfume was overwhelming." Valarie looked at Felix, "What about you?" Felix looked at Valarie. "I was lost in your mansion," said Felix, "I found the backdoor exit and left." Valarie looked at them suspiciously. She was about to say something, but Macy ran up to her and told her that someone needed her. Valarie immediately forgot about Felix and took off. Felix and Scarlet ignored it all and went to their classroom. Soon, when lunch came, Scarlet went to Layla and Dave. They were sitting near a tree. "Hey guys," Scarlet said as she approached them, "Sorry about this morning. I was talking to Felix about something important." Layla and Dave looked at each other. "Oh?" Layla said, "Since when did you guys began talking to each other?" Scarlet rolled her eyes and ignored her. "If anything happens," said Dave, "fill us in!" Layla laughed. When Dave heard her, he smiled. "You better fill me in too, buddy." Scarlet said with a smirk on her face. Dave blushed and looked away. They continued to eat their lunch and the rest of school.
