Sagar quickly made his way to the closest crystal he could sense, trying his best to not run into anyone along the way. Whenever he was getting closer he started feeling the crystal moving in his direction with Talia's figure eventually showing itself. The two of them realizing that it wasn't them that was in danger rather it was Umbra both gave each other a silent nod and started making their way to the other crystal.
Umbra's current location was actually somewhere in the nearby forest nearby the academy grounds. The academy didn't really have strict requirements about leaving the grounds but you did have to fill out a small form so they know where you went in case something happened to you. Other than that the academy wasn't really in charge of your safety once you left academy grounds and they would only sent out people to search for you depending on how long you've been gone or if someone informed the staff about some sort of danger another student was in.
Since Umbra was in danger Talia and Sagar didn't really have time to fill out a form of their own rather they had to speed past the guards before they could do anything do them. Sagar could move the fastest so he grabbed onto Talia allowing her to brace herself before Sagar used 'Explosive Maneuver' to quickly shoot themselves outside the wall of the academy and into the forest where he continued to use he technique to make their way to Umbra. Talia herself wasn't effected much by Sagar's use of the technique as much of the force was applied to him and she formed a protective barrier around her body to help mitigate the shock wave emitted by the technique.
The guards and staff who saw the two zip by couldn't really do anything about the two moving past them and instead one of them wrote a report about it, while all the rest could do was hope that the students wouldn't get into too much trouble.
As the two went towards Umbra's direction they could feel that the crystal in her possession was moving around signifying that she was currently at least able to move. Getting closer to Umbra they could feel the vibrations from the battle between Umbra and whatever she was currently fighting. Eventually they could see a looming figure that was at least as tall as a small building which was waving around it's arms smashing the ground around it. Suddenly they could Umbra's figure dodging adeptly around the attacks of the giant.
Sensing the approach of the two she started to relax a bit as she would have a easier time taking this behemoth down. This creature she was fighting wasn't really a creature at all instead it was a golem she had encountered while she was out here doing a assignment for the principal. It was supposed to be a simple hunting mission but before she managed to find what she came out here to hunt this golem started attacking her.
This golem attacking her wouldn't be a weird thing if say she was trying to acquire an item or get access to some sort of ancient ruin. This gave the impression that this specific golem was actually a man-made one as natural golems only protect a certain item or place. The golem here seemingly went out of it's way to find her and launch an assault on her.
Normally she would be fine taking on something on this strength but she felt like someone was trying to weaken her or at the very least see what she was capable of so she decided to play it safe and call over Talia and Sagar. Especially Sagar as his stamina in drown out fights could come in handy against whoever has bad intentions towards her.
There were only a few people who would possibly have such intentions against her and if they planned to do anything towards her she might have to call the principal over using something that he had given her. It was a plate with a sort of carved rune place upon it that had a similar function as the communication crystal you could only break it to signify you were in some kind of danger. The fragments were then able to be tracked by whoever had wrote the rune into the plate. From what Umbra knew runes were used before the development of crystals became more popular it's just that the principal has lived such a long time that he has yet to adjust himself and uses mainly runes for most things he does.Umbra felt a bit bad about involving her friends in this endeavor of her and could only hope that they would forgive her later whenever she explained things later.
Seeing what Umbra was fighting Sagar was a bit shocked as he didn't expect a golem to be anywhere around the academy. This golem seemed to just be made from the material of the earth rather than any sort of metal which worked into the trio's favor but it's core seemed to harden the earth it was made out of which made it stronger than it was originally. From what Sagar's read depending on whether or not the core was man-made or not it would influence on what the core was made out of.
Natural golems had their cores made out of a earthly element or whatever element that the golem was made out of, for example if you encountered a golem located in a hot environment they might have a fire elemental core. As for man-made golems their cores are made out of crystals made with certain formations engraved into them and depending on the engravings along the power of the crystal it'll affect how powerful the golem was.
From what Sagar could tell this golem was only at the Expert rank so with the three of them it shouldn't be too difficult to take it down. Of course this all depended on the core of the golem itself.
