Before anyone could react to the attack, three more rays of light shot from the middle of the enemy's formation towards the town's southern wall. These rays did not travel too fast, but their penetrative power was extremely high. Finger-sized holes were poked through their shields. With each ray, one person fell.
Both Solare Samo and Montis Leroux stared at the panicking Remorans in shock. The roof of the wall was now in utter chaos with people jumping down from it. The Remorans probably didn't want to be exposed when the enemies would launch more of those attacks that pierced through their barriers.
A couple more rays of light followed, killing a few more, but it then started losing its effectiveness when the people scattered.
