The children bowed and left the throne room, bringing along the sacks full of gemstones with them.
"Is every emperor that cool?" Rhyme asked, starstruck. He was not in any way impatient about trading his gemstones for money and was more excited about meeting the big man of the Meredith Empire. The first royal he met in his lifetime was actually an emperor!
