A translation manual was an absolute treasure for them. However, simply having one did not mean that they would immediately be able to use it. None of them were expecting to use it anytime soon.
As Leona scanned through each and every one of its contents, she realized that the last one was incomplete. She could tell because it was written in their language.
That's weird.
Leona set it aside while noting that it was missing some words. That wouldn't be a problem though. Their scholars could identify the other characters and words using the incomplete translation manual. It should be enough, although it would take a while.
The group continued collecting information.
They didn't really find anything that gave away the foreigners' identity, probably because the building they were in was a research center. All they had there were research output and materials. No personal diaries of the researchers or whatsoever.
