Chapter 21 - Petty Men

Jaejin couldn't refute her. His face started to blush slightly, either in embarrassment or in anger.

"Don't. Ever. Do. That. Again." He said between his gritted teeth.

Sujin waved her hand in response without sparing him any glance. "Whatever you say." She said. In the next second, she widened her eyes at him. A look of surprise was clear in her eyes. "Minho's bad trait has influenced you well, huh? Prince Hwang? Great name!"

Her mocking tone made Jaejin smirked. Even when she sarcastically said things like that, she didn't change the contact name he had put in her phone. It must be because she was too lazy to do that. It was also why he decided to put his phone number by himself instead of asking her to do it.

Jaejin still wanted to talk to her, but the ring from his phone reminded him that he had another appointment. With a clear reluctance in his eyes, he looked the petite girl and apologized.

"Just go. Why are you apologizing to me? Just go." Sujin pushed him lightly.

"Then, don't forget our appointment tonight!" Jaejin reminded her again. "I'll call you to pick you up. Don't even trying to reason things with me." He pointed his finger at her, warning her in a serious tone.

Sujin didn't say anything. She just waved at him lazily and nodded vigorously so that he would believe in her. After sending him off, Sujin went back to her hotel and took a nice warm bath. Since she couldn't hide from those two anymore, she could only brace herself and face them.

Her peaceful days were over...

----------------------------------------

Minho didn't even bother to check on his disguise before he entered a famous Japanese restaurant. After greeting the waiter and asking for a certain person's name, he was sent towards a private room where two of his friends were waiting for him.

"Choi Sujin!" He practically shouted after he closed the door behind him. His eyes darted towards the only girl in the room, sitting side by side with his best friend. They looked like they were having a good time together.

"You're so loud." Sujin winched in annoyance.

She didn't have time to complain more as Minho pulled her in his arms. It was a deja vu. The way her body was being squeezed until her spine felt like it almost snapped was really familiar. Right, at that time, Jaejin did the same to her as well. These two beasts obviously forgot that their body and monstrous strength could snap her petite body.

Moving her arm slightly, she did her best to slap his back. A dull sound of her palm meeting his windbreaker resonated in the room. Following that sound, a pair of hands was separating them forcefully.

"Minho-yaa, you can snap her back." Jaejin smiled at him brightly, yet it made the other two shivered in fright.

That's his psychotic smile! He was smiling yet the hand that was grabbing onto his clothes was tightening up. His other hand, however, was really gentle towards Sujin. It was obvious whose side he was on.

"Sit down properly and talk." Jaejin lightly pushed him towards the soft sofa and guided Sujin to sit down on his side again.

It was like sitting beside him was the most natural thing to do and Minho didn't like the look of it. "Why should she sit beside you?" He sulkily asked.

Jaejin seemed to understand what was going inside his mind. He smirked victoriously yet he said nothing. "Loser can't ask for more."

"What do you mean loser?" Minho glared at him.

Jaejin tauntingly replied in a matter-of-fact tone, "Of course, you came late. What else should I call you other than a loser?"

Minho fumed. He was about to retort back when the only girl in the room stood up. At first, he thought she was going to sit beside him and he smiled cheekily towards the stunned Jaejin. But, when she stopped right in the middle while maintaining the same distance to him and Jaejin, his smile froze.

"There. I don't know what you're arguing about but please, stop. My ears hurt from all your bantering." She shot them a warning look -one more word about arguing then I'm going to leave you guys alone here.

Seeing how serious she was with her words, the two men kept their mouth shut. It was inevitable for them to argue when Sujin was involved. But when it was just the two of them, they could get along well.

"So, why did you ask me out today?" She looked at those two men.

"Didn't you promise to meet me when you're in Seoul?" Minho's eyes widened in shock. It maybe his act, but he looked he was wronged the moment he said those words.

Sujin didn't even bother to think whether he was telling the truth or he was just fooling around. He was really the most treasured actor in entertainment industry. His title as The Best Actor was really not in vain if he was really acting right now.

Sujin sighed. "Fine. Now you've met me, right? What else?"

"What else? We need to have a feast for our reunion." Minho's eyes sparked with excitement as soon as he mentioned about the feast.

"But, of course, we want to know where you've been these past years, what you did, and how your life was. We don't want to hear 'not your business' as the answer this time." Jaejin added and in instant the light in their eyes changed.

Sujin tried to calm her mind and heart. From what she knew about them, she really couldn't escape this time. But, what should she tell them? She wasn't a good story teller but these beasts demanded a long story. It was such a pain.

She cleared her throat and picked on the menu book on the big table. "Why don't we order first?"

"I've ordered it before I came. The food will be here any minutes. You can choose to answer it now before we eat or while we are eating. It's all the same for us, though." It wasn't the first time, but Sujin cursed his ability to stay efficient. Wasn't ordering food a way to stall for time? He didn't even let her use that opportunity to think carefully and maybe muddle her way out of the stupid storytelling time.

"Let's start then. Why didn't you tell us about your graduation?"

Their hawk eyes didn't leave her, demanding an answer for whatever questions they had. Again, Sujin regretted her decision to come meeting these men. Why did she forget that these men were petty?
