The next few weeks went on uneventfully.
Mio had been spending her time trying to dig into finding out more about the spies. Of course she could not find anything and gave up half way through.
Link had not been in touch with her for a while and she was beginning to worry, but she knew Link could handle himself.
Mio sat in the back of the car while the driver drove her to school. She climbed out of the back seat and walked in to see people clamoring outside the school notice board.
Out of curiosity Mio tired to look over the crowd, she finally pushed forward to see something that made her eyes widen.
There on the board was a confession letter, a letter written by Dana.
Mio immediately knew this could not be Dana's doing. Dana was not bold in that way, so she pushed her way out of the crowd. She dialed Dana's number but she did not answer.
In a hurry Mio decided to look around on campus for her. She asked around and people shook their heads in response, the only place she could be was at her apartment or on the roof. Mio hurried up to the roof and pushed open the door.
" Dana!" she shouted.
There was no one there. Mio turned around determined to find Dana, when she heard a large crowd out in front of the school. She ran to see what was going on. From atop the roof Mio saw, a crowd, a man who looked like Kei and Dana.
She couldn't here what was going on but saw that it could not be good.
--------------------------------
" Dana, ummm... I'm sorry I can't return your feelings" Kei said.
He looked down at the brown haired and small looking Dana. She had her head hung low and looked like she was about to faint. All the eyes of the students were on her and some even jeered at her.
" She's so bold to confess to Kei" one girl snorted.
Another refuted " I think she was brave".
" Well she just got rejected" another lowly said.
Dana could clearly hear what they were saying and felt crushed under the pressure of the crowd.
Dana said nothing and Kei sighed.
" Look it's not that I don't like you it's just-"
In record time Mio pushed through another crowd, panting. She grabbed Dana's arm.
Dana looked up to see Mio and tears strolled down her eyes.
" Dana are you okay?" Mio was very worried. She knew that Dana had a fear of crowds and she wanted to drag Dana away, from all these prying eyes.
However, as soon as she motioned to walk away with Dana. Dana pushed her back.
" How could you she yelled?" Dana then pushed through the crowd, leaving the confused Mio standing there.
" Ah Mio" Kei said, Mio turned back to him. He stepped back as her eyes were ablaze with fury.
She ran after Dana, leaving the crowd looking after them and some walking away having had their dose of drama for the day.
Mio effortlessly caught up to Dana.
" Dana wait!" she shouted and grabbed her shoulder.
Dana was crying, tears strolled down her blemish-less skin and Mio was taken aback. She had no idea how to deal with this sort of situation.
" Dana..." she trailed off.
Dana buried her face in her hands.
" I trusted you" she mumbled into her hands.
" Dana, it wasn't me I swear!"
" Then who could it have been huh? You were the only one who knew I liked him".
Mio couldn't refute that but she knew it had to be someone else.
" Dana you know I wouldn't do that to you. We are friends."
Dana looked up.
" Are we really?"
Mio stepped forward " Of course we are".
As soon as Mio stepped forwards Dana stepped back.
"I-I don't believe you!" she then took off. Mio blinked rapidly, she hadn't done anything to cause Dana to suspect her. She knew Dana needed some time to herself, so she thought to leave her alone.
Until she found the real culprits and taught them a lesson, for messing with her friend.
