Alcohol and partying is often seen as the highlight of student life. Some are obsessed with the drug, and some are obsessed with the image of it. Anna wasn't like those, she was interested in neither, no, all she wanted was to quickly get home to her fantasy worlds, of all forms. She doesn't judge those who are interested, in fact several of her friends were quite keen on partying. she wasn't a quiet girl, nor was she shy, she just didn't find the idea of loud, sweaty people, in a small crowded area, too appealing. She knew it would be an interesting new experience, but it wasn't like her parents would ever let her get away with it, so it was better to forget it early on.
Anna had a crush however, it was on a tall, lanky boy, one year her senior. They had met through mutual friends and immediately hit it off. Anna loved talking to him, debating and arguing with him endlessly. Not to mention, he might have been lanky, but was good eye candy nonetheless. She wasn't the only one interested in the charismatic boy. As she was infatuated, and like all in that phase of love, lacking clear judgement, she wanted to get closer to him.
"Hey Anna!" called her friend, a boy who looked like he could win the hearts of every grandmother on the block. He had a cute, warm grin, and slightly long, curly hair. He had also recently hit a growth spurt and was a bit awkward with his body. He wore faded jeans, with a classic tee.
"Yeah?" She answered, turning her head as Jesse caught up to her in the busy crowded hallway, as it always is at school in the mornings.
"I know you can't possibly be busy this weekend, and your parents are out of town, won't you come to my party?" Jesse asked, leaving no room for excuses or refusal.
"Were you talking to Sarah? Did she expose me?" Anna asked, suspicious that her long term best friend revealed the information, and was working with Jesse to make her come. The three of them had grown up in the same neighborhood, and had been close since the days they were in kindergarten.
"Yep, and you have no excuses not to come this time!" Said Sarah, popping up beside Anna, as the three of them walked to class. Anna was a cute petite girl with dyed light brown hair, and huge eyes. I always thought that she could get any boy she wanted in the school. The two of my friends turned cute as hell after puberty hit them in grade 9, meanwhile it's grade 11, and I'm still wondering why puberty missed me. I've just got slightly less acne, a few centimeters more to my height, and the torment of cramps once a month.
I contemplated turning them down, until Sarah whispered "James is coming too~" With a suggestive look at me.
"okay okay, I'll go, but please watch over me, okay? I don't know what I'm like drunk and I don't know how much I can drink..." I worried over the multitude of outcomes.
"don't worry! you'll be in good hands, plus it's at my house, what could possibly happen?"reassured Jesse as we walked into our separate classes.
*note* there's a lot of tenses and grammar I want to fix still. Please excuse this for now *bows* 😊
