*Pheonix's POV*
I watched as Karson, a man who's worked at the foster house since i lived there and who was a known child molester amongst anyone who's ever lived there, screamed in agony from Alik's grip.
"Just teaching this asshat to not try and attack kids, that's all." Alik said, letting go of Karson's and leaving a large handprint on his arm.
"This kid's insane! I didn't touch no kid!" Karson shouted, and i glared at him. "I didn't! He must be hallucinating or some shit!"
"Knowing you, seeing as i once lived here and had to deal with your shit, i doubt he's lying. " i said, crossing my arms. Alik stared at him with a firey hatred in his eyes. "Or hallucinating."
"I'm done with this shit! I'll throw y'all outta here! Forget about gettin' back that there little brother of yours!! " He shouted at me, making me freeze.
Suddenly, one of the younger boys named Leon, who i remebered from back when i was living here, ran up to us. He ran behind Alik and pointed at Karson before saying, loud enough for everyone to hear with his tiny speech impediment of his, "He was gonna take me inthide and touth me! He doeth that to a lotta the little kidth here!" He turned and pointed up at Alik. "Thith man here helpeded me!" Multiple other kids of all ages walked over and verified Leon's claims.
I felt my eyes well up with tears as i realized that someone was actually willing and not afraid to take a stand against Karson for all the shit he'd done throughout the years. Suddenly, Mrs. Leeland, the foster mom of the home, ran out to see what was going on. After everything was explained to her she immediately called the police who were here within minutes.
After i finally managed to get custody of Roman, all of us three started walking to the car. As soon as we got in, i turned to Alik and whispered in his ear "Good for you, Alik. You did a good thing standing up for Leon."
"So that was the kid's name. " was the only thing he replied with.
