~Death~
We weren't always at each other's throat's. We used to be really close, even before what we are today.
I know we're sisters, but I can't seem to remember much about our past, only that I was older than her by a few years.
At times, I would get remnants of flashbacks from our past lives. I would see our childhood as we ran around and played. Sometimes I would see us argue over God knows what. There are times that I would see us at each others arms through what seemed like tough times.
But what was strange was I can't seem to remember our names, what we had most of our lives and what happened to us.
"Big sis, what are you thinking about?" Little Life was on behind me, braiding my hair.
"Nothing, darling. At least nothing that you should be worried about." I assured her.
She finished braiding my hair and by golly wasn't it beautiful.
It was a fishtail braided with flowers intertwined with it. At the end of the braided was a beautifully tied corsage.
I looked at it at the mirror. It was breathless.
"Ok, this is the part you say thank you." Little life swayed back and forth with her hands behind her, smiling as she was proud of what she has done.
"Thank you ..." And then the memory slowly faded away.
It was raining this time, the background was a bit blurry but I can see a gloomy image of a girl in a bloodstained Sunday dress in front of me. It was Life.
"You should've stayed away. You should've left us alone!" she turned around revealing a crying face. Her mascara was flowing down with her tears and the rain drops.
"I'm sorry." I felt dead at that time, not a heart beat in my chest. "I'm so sorry." I felt a tear falling from my left eye.
"He was..... " She turned around. Her eyes were full of hatred and dismay. She walked towards me and grabbed my chin up. Suddenly, I was face to face with the present Life.
She looked at my face from left to right while my chin was in her hand.
"You are just so full of yourself." She snickered
I remember this. This was when we first fought as Life and Death. We were at the All-father's castle and we just woke up. We've already hated each other at this point.
This was when I accidentally ate her paradise pudding. I was really hungry and that was the only thing in the fridge.
What started with 'Who the hell ate my pudding?' became 'Die, you undying creature!'
"You're one to talk, Ice Queen." I gave her my death stare and forcefully pulled my face from her hand.
"Alright, now. Let's not fight over such simple things." Thanatos stepped in. His tall physique and strong aura is a bit hard to ignore, specially his black, broad wings.
He looked at ease but sturdy, and stern. From head to toe, he projected authority. His skin was the color of toffee caramel; sweet to look at but tough to chew. His luscious, black hair was fixed, formal, and cleanly cut as always. His eyes were crimson red which made him seem even more intimidating. His manly face was chiseled in all the right places making women beg for more of him. His body was built with six pack abs and love handles. His arms and legs bulging with muscles, but not much. And lastly, his black wings protruded from the wholes of his trench coat.
He was wearing his vanta black trench coat over a crimson polo with his wings sprouting from the back. He had black pants and formal shoes. He looked intimidating and unnecessarily scary.
"Girls, I love you, but this is just stupid." Aphrodite sprouted from the kitchen door.
Aphrodite was named after the Greek goddess of love and damn if she didn't radiate it.
She was the definition of beauty. Her skin was white as snow. Her long, wavy, hazelnut brown, fell from her shoulder to her hips. Her slanted eyes were powerful, in the color of pure black, yet at the same time enticing you in such a way that you'll do her every whim. Her nose was small but nicely shaped in a way that it complimented her oval face. You could tell that her lips were soft just by looking at it, perfectly carved into her face. She was well endowed all aspects; face, chest, hips. She was like Jessica Rabbit but in actual human form.
She wore her favorite red robes which was laid open enough to show her assets. Her legs perfectly protruded from where her robes separated.
"Now, Death. Why don't you just say sorry and buy her a new batch of paradise pudding?" I can feel her words trying to command muscles to do her bidding.
"I guess so but-" I was about to agree when Life started to shout.
"That was my pudding! Mine! Why do you always have to take what's mine!" She was so angry, her aura was glowing hot.
"Did it have your name on it? No. So I took it." I gave her a sly smile and smirked.
"Oh you want to go? Have at it, Death!" Her outfit changed from her white pajamas to Greek chitons. In her hand was her staff, the ankh, an Egyptian relic of Iris. A staff the can summon forth the souls of purgatory to fight and redeem their honor.
"Bring it, bitch." My sleeping robes then turned into my first outfit, the robes of the reaper; black, hooded, tattered robes what spew black smoke end of the linen cloth. In my hand was the scythe of Grimm, a scythe build to suck out the souls of humans and send them straight to Tartarus.
We were about to clash and we didn't care even if we desolate the entire area or if anyone around us gets hurt.
We locked eyes with killer intent.
We would've killed each other if not for Thanatos.
"STOP IT!" We both snapped out of it and reverted back to our base forms. "You are both grown ups! Start acting like it!" His aura started to glowing purple, the power aura, which came from the Ring of Power on his left index finger. His black wings now spread and flapped a little. It was a scary, as if a giant eagle was about to grab us and feed us to it's newly hatched babies.
"If you don't stop this, I swear upon the All father, I'll kill you both my-" His anger seemed to have been suppressed when Aphrodite held his cheeks.
"Come now, my darling. Calm down and come with me." she said so with a hint of malice. Her aura, now glowing red due to her Ring of love on her right index finger. "I'll relax you for a bit."
And so they left us. It was only me and Life. The memory started to fade with a hint of hatred.
I would've fallen off the railing and straight to hell if it weren't for Michael.
"Death." He called out with his left hand on my shoulder. "You were in a trance. Hehe. Death trance." he chuckled a bit. He always did have a bit of a dark humor.
"Oh, sorry." I smiled at him. "Thanks. Hey, what room is Alex in?"
"656." He checked his wrist watch. "He's been there for a while. He might've gone crazy by now. You better check on him."
And so I did. I went to the room and looked for the room he was in. When I found it, I found myself standing still, frozen by the door.
I went up to the door and opened it slowly.
