Chapter 2 - King

"Um, my hands stuck."

"Yeah, it would appear it is."

"Why is it stuck?"

I would soon find out the story behind the voice in my head and the mustard gas taser's capabilities. Turns out there was an experiment conducted in my fathers lab where electricity was shot through a tube and a malfunction occurred, the electricity shot through the air due to a faulty circuit and hit me as a child. The experiment shows that when electricity is shot through a tube of mustard gas, it gains an accelerated ingredient that once absorbed by something 'for example a 6 year olds head' yes that works, causes rapid growth, because it shocked my head as a child, it made contact with my brain. This allowed my brain to begin rapid growth and retention of knowledge. All the excess information manifested itself into the voice in my head. Being shocked a second time allowed my brain to begin developing new functions, like rearranging and copying DNA.

"So now I can copy DNA?"

"Yes."

"And rearrange my own to fit the description of the DNA I copied?"

"Yep."

"Does this mean I can retain the abilities of anything I touch?"

"Anything with DNA. Your cells can rearrange themselves, but your atoms cant."

I instinctively walked to a neighbors house who happened to own a bird, I think you know where this is going.

"Thanks for letting me see Jacques Mr. Tollif!"

"No problem?"

I went back home and asked the side effect of the accident what I do to trigger the transformation 'I'm not a "side effect"' you kinda are 'well it's still rude'.

"You need to picture yourself as that animal or person, that outta trigger it."

I did as I was told and began sprouting feathers and hardened lips, along with rather sharp toes.

"You may want to remove your clothing lest you rip it."

"Good idea"

After a few minutes I was indeed a bird... a giant bird, I was still as massive as before the transformation took place.

"Okay one more thing, you might want to picture a flock of birds if you want to get out of the room."

"Are you saying I can form a flock of birds?"

"Small ones, yes."

Yet again I did what I was told and the result was a flock of birds following my mental commands, I could see out of all of their eyes, feel each individual wing flapping, it was strange.

"So how do they all know what I'm thinking?"

"Your brain can basically preform telepathy. However your the only one advanced enough to receive it, so you can only form a hive mind of sorts."

"This is all a little weird."

I looked down and I saw a man in a white trench coat and sunglasses, he had a can and a certain gun shaped bulge in his pocket, I immediately thought of king and his crowd, the man looked at me as I thought it.

He raised his gun.
