Huo Lei was stunned when he saw the game like screen in front of him. He started to think that this just might be a wierd dream he had after reading to much manga, and then he rememberd that you can`t feel pain in a dream, so he did the only natural thing to do and slapped himself. Shpook, a high, crisp sound came from the slap in the emptry building, and with it a harsh pain. After the pain went over he soon discoverd other things that told him this was not a dream, like the smell of salt and the sounds of a seagull.
He looked at the screen once again and tried to remember from all the manga he had read about the benefit to have of these skills. Appraisal was kinda selfexplanatory, since its a common skill in stories where it could identify objects and in some, people and skills. Forging and Mechanics was also pretty easy to understand, since it was what he usually did at school and in freetime. Cooking was harder to understand since he rarly made any food, and usually just made noodles etc. the other skills was harder to understand since in the stories they had many uses ,different from stroy to story.
Huo suddenly got the urge to appraise his skills and stats, that could perhaps tell him more of why he was here, and could maybe even help him to get back home later on. The only problem was: How do i use the skill? He looked around to see if there was anyone around, wich there wasent and shouted: Appraisal!! But other than the wind blowing, nothing happend. He than tried stuff like mutter, talking in his mind and chanting stuff from a few animes he had seen. After a while he finally found out of it, and it was a pretty easy solution wich he hadnt` thought of, wich was to just hold the thing he wanted to apprise. He held on the edges of his shirt and in front of him a screen appered where it stood:
Blue t-shirt
defense: non-existent
resistance cold: 1 point
Desciption: a useless shirt in this world, made in another world by a child in a factory in China
Huo Lei was stunned, before he started to wonder if the skill had something aginst otherworlders. After a short moment he thought of the status: and in front of of him the screen once again apperd. He then touched the different skills on the screen and several screens apperd:
