When class started Izzy walked in alone. The room was tense and Professor Lam was in early, which Izzy felt strange.
Once Izzy sat down and everyone was in class Professor Lam spoke.
" I don't expect much from you all. But as you know the annual class grading event is happening. If by some miracle one of you, useless bunch, manage to get a good ranking. You will be graded and put in a better class. Though I doubt that would happen, just don't embarrass me as much as you already have".
After that he walked out early and left everyone sitting in the class, in silence. Vicar was the first to walk out, he loudly banged on the table and left, whilst everyone had hard looks on their faces.
Even Weigela looked tense.
Izzy looked at her and Weigela could see the question in her eyes. Weigela put on a smile.
" The annual class grading event is where we all get to fights against other classes. We usually fight against the green and blue classes. Most of the time it's just a way for them to beat us up."
Izzy nodded understanding that if you fought and won you school ranking would increase . Currently her class was rated in the 1000s the lowest of rankings. Their class was also the smallest in the entire academy since most people left if they were put into the orange class.
" So we only have two weeks to prepare?"
Weigela nodded, " Well, I guess so. Most people spend their lives waiting for this days, so they could at least make it into the blue or purple rank."
" And you?" Izzy asked, " What rank do you want to achieve?"
Izzy asked despite seeing how dejected Weigela looked.
" Ha! if I could I want to go back to being ranked blue. But it's impossible"
She looked down at her hands and Izzy only now noticed the slight tremble of Weigela's hands. She struggled to keep them steady and often resulted in her magic backfiring.
Izzy suddenly felt the urge to help her.
After class Izzy asked the system if it was possible to heal Weigela's wounds and fully restore her hands.
[ It may be possible but the system needs to first assess the extent of the damage done to the individual.]
Izzy thought that was reasonable and then sought out Weigela. She found her standing alone amongst the trees looking up into the sky.
In her hands was a small harp-like instrument. Weigela had a forlorn look on her face and Izzy felt like she had just intruded upon a private moment. So she stood behind a tree and casually scanned Weigela from a distance.
The system was swift in giving all the information it could on Weigela.
[ Name: Weigela Ibot
Power Level: Graduate Level 13 ( Note: Individual's power level has dropped by 4 levels, due to injury).
Elemental Affinity: Instrumental Mage, specializes in ranged attacks, Wind affinity.
Body Analysis: 16 year old female. Body is in good condition however, both arms exhibit evidence of grievous nerve damage. The individual can no longer play instruments without sever muscle spasms and pain.
Healing is possible but the host must be willing to expend a large amount of power. The injury has not been attended to over a long period of time and is mostly likely worse than before.
If not attended to the injury could worsen to the point of where the individual may not longer be able to use both of their arms and hands. ]
Shock filled Izzy's mind she hand not expected Weigela's injury to be that bad. For a person to lose both hands was devastating and Izzy looked at the lonely Weigela. She made up her mind to help, no matter the risks.
