This is a page from the almanac of demons written by the great wizard Sofóz.
ARACHNE
When a Yggris spider has killed a large amount of creatures or lived for a certain number of decades, it undergoes a metamorphosis, like most demons.
It develops into a woman's upper body and a spider's abdomen.
They have two eyes, one is magical. They have basic magic spells, mostly poison enhancement.
A normal arachne has on each of its ten limbs poison, and can excrete normal poisons, paralytic poisons and acid.
A Queen Arachne, a former black Yggris Spider, has access to all the poisons including both magical and the decay type poison, which when injected causes the victim to decay slowly.
Their mental effect is simple and one of the few wide ranged ones. They draw their targets to a specified spot. That's it.
But with a small army of Yggris Spiders with them at all times, many have lost their souls by being trapped and surrounded.
IRON GARGOYLE
The same size and shape as the traditional gargoyle, but on a whole new threat level.
Their skin is made of pure iron, making most weapons only stratch them as they continue their onslaught.
Their mental effect is to become harder if the enemy thinks their skin is hard. And their skin becomes as hard as tungsten.
Needless to say, at this stage, even mythril swords can take hours to kill them.
There is a larger, flight-capable, magic adept version called the Greater Iron Gargoyle, but since its mental effect is the same it is considered to be a subspecies.
TROLL
The bastards of the demon kin. Barely taller than an ogre, slimmer than most monsters and covered from head to toe with brown hair. Their eyes are blank and they have a constant cresent smile on their faces.
Their mental effect is to cause illusions that frustrate the target. They seem to live to frustrate, playing with their targets until they beg for death, then quickly behead them.
They are only slightly stronger than a human, but they are as quick as a cheetah, and using their long claws have beheaded many unsuspecting targets.
They are mostly found around...bridges. I tried to ask one why but instead of an answer he made a strange hand gesture with his middle finger.
Annoying bastards.
