Chapter 1 - Nostalgia

Hey, you're my friend, right?

"Yeah, why do you ask?"

Right, we are childhood friends. Can you do me a favor?

"Favor? Sure, say it."

Can you keep this thing for me? I... have to go abroad for some time.

"Ah?! I didn't know about this! When are you going?"

No, you see, what I'm going to say, be sure to never forget, okay?

...

"Oiii, Miyata!"

"Miyata! You fuckin' did it, huh!?"

There's three guys around me. People who don't know about the situation would be thinking 'Oh, that guy is going to be troubled'. But, no. Fortunately, these three gorilla-like dudes are... how can I say it, my friends. Yes, friends is the most logical word right now.

"Really, Miyata, that girl, what was her name?"

"Mizuki."

"Right! Does she have any friends like her? Slim, but with curvaceous body. Oh, her tits were the best though."

"Don't know. Go find yourselves."

"Nii-san, look at him! The moment he gets something good, he doesn't care about his most loyal friends!"

"What are you talkin' about? It was just one night."

Right, I'm not in love. It's just the usual. I'm pretty good looking, so girls come flying at me.

"Let's not talk about it anymore. Miyata, did you finish the work? The deadline is tomorrow."

Murata is the most reliable guy is this group. If you see these three gorillas, you'd never, ever think that they are in finances course.

Well, I'm in it too, though it'd be better if I got in performing arts course, I'm handsome, that's everything that matters in that industry.

"Murata-san, I finished it yesterday. I'll send it tonight."

"Okay, don't forget, or these guys would be in trouble."

Murata points at Tanaka brothes. Yes, they are brothers.

"Gee, don't say it, you two are abnormal. We are almost failing this semester."

"Abnormal? You don't take your time to study and I'm the strange one?"

"Sorry, boss."

"Sorry, boss Murata."

"I'm not a Yakuza boss, you!"

Though boss, oops, Murata-san seems angry, he care a lot about us.

"See you guys tomorrow, oh, and that Mizuki girl, don't be mean with her. She seems to be a good girl."

"See you guys tomorrow, oh, and that Mizuki girl, ask if she wants to introduce her friends to us."

Tanaka 1 said.

"See you guys tomorrow, oh and that Mizu- Puu."

Tanaka 2 tried to say something, before Murata-san chopped his head.

"Cut the crap! Go home already."

"Hahaha, alright, till tomorrow."

"Yeah, bye."

"Miyata! Her friends!"

"Yeah! Let's go to karaoke some time!"

After parting, I go to a convenience store nearby, got some groceries for the rest of the week. Stepping out of it, I see some hooligans talking,

"That guy was really strange, he kept asking which year is now, really, did he watch too much time travel anime?"

"Don't even talk about it, he was creepy. That zombie-like eyes, tattered clothes. If he had blood in his clothes I would've thought that he really was a zombie."

"Yeah..."

"It must be a cosplay. Is there a cosplay event today?"

"I don't think so. Whatever, let's try to get some beer here."

The hooligans enters the convenience store.

'Zombie? Haha, kids being kids.'

In the way home, I pick a chocolate bar that I bought and started eating. Well, I'm a sugar lover, wait, no no, that sounded wrong, it has nothing to do with sugar-daddy/mommy.

I turn left. Ah, I can see my tiny house, it can't be called a house, though. A tiny apartment, yes, that's more accurate. There's a huge tree on the other side of the road, facing my 'house'. It's been there since before I was born.

My parents are not home yet, it seems.

'How can you live with your parents in this tiny apartment?' Murata and Tanaka Brothers asked. They don't live here. There's a huge house beside my apartment, they live there, I lived there.

But, since I was 16, I started to work part-time, so I can buy my own 'house'. Of course, I can't earn much working like this, so I asked some help and my parents gave in when they saw me working hard. They even pay half of the college's fees.

Going up the stairs, I saw a man in tattered clothes, zombie-like eyes and... no, there was no blood.

"H-how much time I have left... damnit, I shouldn't have trusted that guy. I knew he was not reliable. But, but... I didn't have a choice, you see I-"

"Hey, you. What are you doing here in front of my house!?"

I asked. He was talking to himself.

"Y-you, who are you!"

"What? It's me who should ask this!"

While we are at this conversation, I hear someone going up the stairs.

"H-he's here! Damnit, how did he find me!?"

"Hey, now. Do you really think that you're well hidden?"

I look at the man with mocking eyes. He seems to be really afraid, did he not pay his bills?

"Knock knock, where's Mr. Fujimiya? Are you I. there?"

F-Fujimiya?

"Hii, please, I beg you, let me go inside your house. If he catch me again... I-I can't stand it anymore!"

I stood there, unmoving. At that moment,

"Fujimiya Kazuki! You didn't finish your 'job' yet, so why are you running?"

Fujimiya... Kazuki!?

I turn my eyes to the man begging me.

"Are you Fujimiya Kazuki? The one who disappeared ten years ago?!"

"Huh!? H-how did you know?! You know about me?! Which year is now, please tell me."

I'm confused, genuinely confused. And shocked.

"It's me, Miyata! We are friends, don't you remember? You gave me a stone, you said to keep it aafe, didn't you?"

"I-I can't remember it."

The man, Fujimiya Kazuki, seems lost in his thoughts. Before we know it, a voice resounded behind me.

"There you are, Fujimiya. Now, how about we go ba-"

"Kazuki!?"

The man who is chasing after 'Fujimiya Kazuki', is... Fujimiya Kazuki?

This... this is the turning point of my life.
