He was rude, but she didn't care, at least he wasn't trying to sleep with her. She knew he was probably the safest person to sit next to at the bar, he was to busy drowning his sorrows in whiskey to flirt with her.
They sat in silence for about five minutes before he broke the casual silence. "I saw you reject that scumbag." He didn't look at her. "Took some guts to reject Michael Claud, I know he's a fuckwit, but had has a good family background and lots of connections."
"Well he's not the only one with connections." She sipped her rum as her brown eyes followed his gaze, she found they were fixed on a young, drunken blonde being protected by tall, handsome dark-haired man, while Michael was trying take advantage of her. "Was that your girlfriend?"
"No, that's my little sister and boyfriend." His eyes finally left them and he stared down at his drink, "I'd do a lot more than just drink if I ever saw my ex again." He wasn't sure why he said that, was it because it's easier talking to a stranger than his own family?
"If it makes you feel better I'd kill my ex, if I ever saw him again." She laughed vaguely taking another sip. He turned to look at her in shock, he was about to ask her what she just said, but was caught off by her beauty. Her long chestnut hair had a slight curl that fell down her back, with a matching pair of large, bright golden-brown eyes, that stunningly complimented her perfect sculptured face, a black halter neck dress hugged her beautiful body, just enough to see her beautiful curves and beautiful long legs crossed elegantly as she sat beautiful on the bar stool. While she was stunning, it made him wonder why she was single, but it didn't matter to him, he had called it quits on girls, it didn't matter how much this one caused his heart rate to increase. But he still needed to know, who is this girl?
When he turned to look at her, it was almost like her heart stopped. He had these stunningly mysterious green-blue eyes, that could almost hypnotise you, his dirty blonde hair perfect styled and suited his slightly olive complexion, he sat on the bar stool like he owned the entirety of Paris, the cold king-like aura, would make normal people cower in fear. While this intrigued her, she wouldn't make a move on a man like him, he was probably just the same as her ex-boyfriend. But still she couldn't help but wonder, who is this guy?
"I'm Liam, by the way." He finally spoke, while his expression and tone were still indifferent, he was polite and held out his hand.
"Arianna." she replied nonchalantly, then shaking his hand.
"Who's this?" A sweet mischievous voice came from behind Liam, he turned around to see Juliette clung to Felix like a drunken sloth. "A new girlfriend perhaps?"
"You're drunk." Liam rolled his eyes, Arianna blushed for a moment, before drinking the rest of her rum. "This is Arianna..." As he pulled him up towards her, he whisper in their ears, "and she doesn't know who we are." He then turned towards Arianna, "this is my sister, Juliette and her boyfriend Felix."
"It's lovely to meet you," Arianna smiled politely extending her hand.
"Likewise." Felix smiled politely back. It was a rare occasion when someone didn't recognise him or Juliette, let alone Liam, but he couldn't help but feel he knew her from somewhere, but he couldn't remember.
"It's so lovely to meet you." Juliette ran towards the beautiful woman standing before her, draping her arms over the girls shoulders and embracing her. Arianna smiled awkwardly, she could smell the vodka on her breath.
"It's nice to meet you too," Arianna laughed lightly.
"Oh you smell so pretty Arianna." The young blonde giggled, as Felix pulled her away from Arianna.
"I'm sorry, please forgive my girlfriend. She's not used to this much alcohol." Felix looked at her apologetically.
"That's alright." Arianna smiled.

For the first time in a long time, she felt relaxed around these people. Together they laughed, joked and told stories about their childhoods. The four of them became quite friendly, while Liam still kept his distance, Juliette seemed to really like Arianna and the two girls got along like a house on fire.
Arianna and Juliette were enjoying each others company so much, that she'd forgotten that she barely knew these three. Eventually the two girls were so drunk they passed out on the table.
"I suppose that's our cue." Felix smiled at his brother-in-law. Liam was confused what was he supposed to do. Felix picked up his girlfriend and gestured for Liam to grab Arianna. "We can't just leave her here."
"But I don't know where she lives." He picked her bridal style and carried her to his car. She rested her head on his warm chest.
"You smell nice and you're so warm." She mumbled drunkenly as she dozed between sleep and consciousness. He couldn't help but smile at the woman in his arms. Placing her back sit with Juliette, the guys buckled them in and they fell asleep on each other.
"So what do we do with her?" Felix hadn't really thought it through, but he knew they couldn't leave her their passed out by herself.
"I'll put her in one of the guest bedrooms at my place. Are you two going to stay at mine or do you want to go home?" Liam got into the driver's seat and Felix slipped into the passenger seat.
"I've had too much to drink to be able to drive and our car is still at your place. Do you mind?" Felix looked anxiously at Liam, who shrugged indifferently.
"Fine, by me."
When they reach Liam's place, Felix reached in and unbuckled Juliette from her seat. He took her to one of the spare bedrooms, as he placed her on the bed in her drunken state, she looked so beautiful. Her long light blonde hair was messed up from drunken cuddles with her new friend, her flawless light olive skin and perfectly soft cherry lips.
"W... what are you looking at?" Her long dark lashes fluttered open revealing her bluey-green eyes.
"Looking at the woman I love." He smiled at her gently as he caressed her face.
"But you don't love me." She cried.
"W... what are you talking about?" He was shocked by what she said, why would she possible think he didn't love her. "Why would you think that?"
"B... because... y... you still h...haven't a...asked m...me to m... marry you!" Juliette cried as she pulled on his dark blue shirt and pressed her head on his chest. He was stunned, he had no idea she was really waiting for him to propose, he thought Liam was kidding before.
"It's okay..." He kissed the crown of her head, rubbed her back while he held her tightly. "It's okay I love you more than you ever understand."

Liam pulled the drunken woman from his back seat, carrying her up stairs, she wrapped her arms around his neck and laid her head in the crook of his neck.
"I... I don't know w...who broke y...your heart..." The young brunette had woken and looked up at the man carrying her with innocence and sorrow in her eyes. "B...but she l...lost s...some...t...thing g...great."
"Thank you." He said coldly, but inside his heart fluttered at the compliment. Looking down at her he noticed her juice, red lips were so close to him, he fought valiantly against his urge to kiss her.
"Y...you're s...so h... handsome." She giggled, her finger entwined with his soft hair. Even in her drunken state, she could smell his intoxicating cologne, making her want to stay with him. She knew she shouldn't have said anything, maybe it was the alcohol affecting her better judgement, but for the first time since high school, she found herself attracted to someone. While he had a cold stare and didn't change his tone of voice very much, there was something about him that made her heart skip a beat, staring into his eyes were like getting lost in the ocean and this warm touch on her bare skin was like a thousand tiny electric shocks, causing a tingling sensation throughout her body.
He swallowed hard, struggling to fight this strange and almost uncontrollable desire. The longer he stared at her the harder it was, she was stunning, he recognised the look of desire in her eyes. His face started slowly inched closer to hers, their lips were only centimetres apart.
