The next morning
Susan woke up as usual and followed the routine as usual do as not to alert her husband. She made breakfast for her husband, set out his clothes for the day and when her husband tried to kiss her goodbye before leaving for work, she tried her best not to cringe. She sent her husband out the door and waited for half an hour so that she would still be home if he forgot anything and came back home. After she was sure that he wasn't coming back, she packed a bag with all her essential papers and some cash. She did not take any jewellery or all of her clothes. She wanted to delay her husband's search for finding her. She thought by the time he came back,she would have left the city, perhaps the country even. She still wasn't sure where would go but she didn't know when she would get the courage to leave again if she didn't make use of this opportunity .
