Chapter 26 - Breathing Memories

"I never want to, but I was desperate to be promoted in higher post. I never get a chance to do so as Randhir was allowed in every time. We were good friends and we joined the military batch together, trained together, but after he becomes commando I was out in every mission. People and family appreciated him, criticizes me, so planned everything that will keep him away from my way. One day before the attack he come to know that I'm going to defuse his plan and let his name down, we had a fight on that night and he was injured badly. I returned as knew that the blast will take place after three hours. And next day I come to know that he wrote many letters as his last wish and want to give it his mental daughter. Then, I tried to find all those letters, after very long time, in past week; I found them in Aarush's house. I quickly grab them and burn them in the corner of roadside. But, forgot that, I found in Aarush's study table, which means he had read them all, and of course, copies had done already."

The General was terminated from his job and was jailed or rest of his life. Ultimately the case was settled and now Aarush was fully dedicated to my health. And, it looks really sweet when a guy actually cares a girl. Aarush knows me since we went to college and he likes from those days, but never confessed, hope that he'll write something which will force him to fall in love with me. Those letters named, Breathing Memories, came out from the pages of my diary. He continued the words as it was rule that anything special will be scribbled in my diary so that I would never forget and this is because I have that mental illness of forgetting my past.

(Second Month of my Dose)

The treatment went well in my first dose, so the next one is little stronger than earlier. Aarush was sure that I will fight with this one. He was asked to move out of the room, so that nurses can treat me properly on below my waist. He constantly watches me from my window and the moment injection pulled and when they rubbed my skin, he closes his eyes till it's injected. He just said three words after he opens his eyes, "My strong girl".

He entered the room, takes a diary, and writes what he feels while the injection was injecting in my body. The injections at every doses will become strong and heavy. The quantity in the tube will too increase and this will only make the body restless and weak for few minutes or we can say few hours too as doctor mentioned this earlier. Thus, it's obvious that the last one will be very strong and he knew it. He wrote the lines when he first saw me in the doctor's cabin:

"Some hearts fluttered, some rushed like to catch the fastest train…"

"Eyes said those words when my lips hesitate…"

"You flip your hairs disturbing your cheeks in between the finger line…"

"I first saw you in the hospital at your mom's cabin… that time you never knew that she's your biological mother … and you noticed me just for a while… then ignored me as if I'm not there…"

And then, he read those lines for me with an example in every quoted statement. He explained when he noticed that his heart fluttered for the first time, and the time he saw me playing with my hairs and what were the words he actually want to speak to me but couldn't say anything. Also, what does he noticed in my mom's cabin and thought about me. He explained every emotion with a feel of words while sitting next to me. He talked as if there's someone in front of him and will surely reply to his wordings. There was a moment he felt like the world is paused and he is actually talking to me. He really imagined my expression and started smiling like a stupid man who felt the love for the first time.

(Staring at me, holding my hand)

And then…. He takes his phone out.

(Phone beeps)

Dr. Avantika: "Have you talked to your mom?? Next month is the last month which we have to inject rest after then we have to import it from UK, remember naa!!"

And then, this made him sad, replied to doctor, "Yeah, I'm trying to talk, will surely do that, don't worry!!"

(Phone rings)

It's Sharon.

"HEY!! You alright?"

"Yeah, all good…"

"Talked to your mother about it"

"No, it's bit hard to do so… you know brother"

"If you say, may I talk to her or …?"

"No, no, I have to do this…"

"Or, I may go to states and bring those doses here every time…"

"But you don't have the passport, right?"

"Oh yeah… true... it's being expired and it will take one month at least…"

"Hmm… no issues brother, I'll take care of this, I'm going to call her within two days…"

"Are you sure? You don't seem to be ready now!!"

"No... It's fine…"

"Else I should talk with her on call before you face? What you say?"

"Let's see… what time says… if something wrong punches me I'll tell you to do"

"Sounds good"

"Okay then…"

"Yeah, take care."

"Hmm…"

And, they hung up.

He sat quietly and thinks what to talk with Mrs. Niharika, his mom.
