Yun instantly engaged the four warriors that came towards her, thanking her luck that they had split in this manner, as she was relatively confident she could win this battle.
Weapons clashed repeatedly, clanging sounds ringing in the air, as Yun and Wuying fought for their lives.
Wuying repeatedly activated battle skills that would give him space without consuming his strength too quickly. He was extremely thankful for the equipment opportunities Yun had given him, as he was confident that his previous equipment would have long given out and broken in this battle.
Yun, on the other hand, had managed to put herself in a position where the four attacking her couldn't get behind her, using some of the broken terrain that had been partially excavated to create an advantage.
Knowing her enemy was cold-blooded had given Yun the conviction to avoid using her Fire elemental attacks, so her battle skills were all reliant on her Lightning element.
Assured of her victory, Yun used her Dragon Aura to help supplement her physical energy exertion, but also split a very small amount of her attention to providing some energy to Wuying, as his battle technique required far more physical exertion.
Yun used her two Argent Spears to great effect in this battle, knocking back and assaulting two of her opponents on her sides while she fought a decisive battle with the other two in front of her. Finally she slashed out with a crescent slash and eviscerated one of them, causing him to bleed out extremely quickly and lose his life. The other fought even more frantically, and the nearby Royal Guards eyed her with worry, but maintained their defensive posture. The Queen was most important of all, and obviously this young fox was capable of breaking through her encirclement.
In short order Yun had eliminated another opponent, as each fell the next was easier to eliminate. At this moment the Royal Guards decided she was a threat, while Wuying was completely pinned down by his opponents and could hardly harm them with his gauntlets.
Three Royal Guards stepped forwards, leaving one to deal with Wuying if he escaped his assault, and joined the battle against Yun. Still pinned with her back against the wall, they began to strike with long weapons, forcing her into a defensive posture and preventing her from using her incredibly dangerous offensive skills.
Wuying began to sweat profusely, he was extremely worried about Yun now that the Royal Guards had stepped into the fray. She had gone from four ordinary warriors that she could handle to three high class Royal Guards and two ordinary warriors. This was an incredible leap in difficulty! Additionally, the glimpses he could get of her battle and the feeling of energy no longer flowing into his body told him that she was being suppressed completely. She no longer had the energy or skill to split her attention to suppressing those two ordinary warriors, and she had to rely on all three of her weapons to defend herself from the enemy strikes.
After nearly an incense stick of time the situation had only degraded for them both. Wuying had begun to suffer injuries to his arms, while Yun was suffering minor wounds all over when she couldn't defend fast enough.
In a moment of desperate clarity Yun suddenly understood a hidden truth. Heat came from motion, motion was a result of a high energy state.
Lightning was also an extreme result of a high energy state. Therefore Lightning was the same as extreme Heat.
Fire is caused by extreme heat releasing the energy of the materials around it destructively, while Lightning is caused by a concentrated extreme energy transfer.
Fire and Lightning were interchangeable!
If she could create heat through energy, could she also reduce it by concentrating that energy?
Yun took the risk and split her attention for a few moments, relying on the nascent consciousness in her Argent Spears to frantically protect her while she attempted it. After a moment it seemed that the edges of her already shrinking Dragon Aura began to arc with a good deal more electric energy.
Streamers of Lightning energy began to flow from every living thing in her Aura, even the small insects on the ground ceased moving as all the excess energy in their body was sucked out by her focused attempt to harness this new concept. She stopped defending herself entirely as she devoted her whole attention to this, and bit by bit a chill ran down the spine of everyone present.
Some thought it was due to the enormous potential energy being gathered at the edges of this sphere, some felt like there was a patch of ice directly on their neck or back. But slowly they all began to realize that it wasn't a sensation brought on by their minds, but by physical reality. The temperature erratically dropped throughout the entire Dragon Aura zone, creating patches of frigid temperatures as the energy was sucked out of the very molecules, ceasing their movement and bringing this region closer and closer to absolute zero, the coldness of empty space.
Yun's eyes closed, she could feel every bit of active energy within her domain, each of the Volvaka lighting up like a lantern in the night. A few other small spots of light shone here and there, from either extremely warm stones that hadn't surrendered their energy yet, or from insects, or from some special crystals.
The temperature tanked. Frost began to form on the metal equipment the Volvaka were wearing, and a few of them had to drop their weapons before the metal froze to the delicate scales on their palms.
Yun started to feel a little cold, but she wreathed herself in energy and focused on draining the energetic particles out of the surrounding space even more. If there were any moisture left in the air it would have begun forming snowflakes as the temperature dropped past the freezing point in an instant, meanwhile the stones around her that contained higher moisture content cracked.
Yun had created a new skill, a new comprehension unlike any that had been seen in this world before.
Lightning Dome: Absolute Zero Domain!
This was a domain type skill created solely from Yun's incredible moment of comprehension. The manipulation of energy could also allow her to remove it entirely from a space, creating a zero energy field that would lower the temperature of this space to nearly the same as the empty void of space, the terrifying Absolute Zero! Domain skills were a very special type of skill, these were skills that forcibly took control of an area of the world and augmented the environment according to the owner's skill. In Yun's case, this was a domain of energy control; a very unique lightning type domain that allowed her to control the energy level of anything lacking a will of its own, or a weaker will than hers.
