"Wow, I don't think I ever had such a satisfying meal in my life," said Kara as she finally put her fork down.
"I am glad you enjoyed it," I said with a smile. "It is such a regret that I had to leave in a few hours, or I would have shamelessly come to you tomorrow for another meal," she said with her beautiful eyes twinkling.
"You are welcome anytime," I said. I did not ask her where she is going. We have only known each other for a few minutes. Such questions are for friends.
"That is the best thing you could have said," she said, getting up from her chair. "I aim to please," I said, and her eyes twinkled again.
"Thank you for the meal, Michael. Now, even if I die in the next few days, I will have one less regret," she thanked.
"I am sure you will easily survive whatever you are going to face," I said. She smiled at that, but this time, there was not the slightest mirth in her eyes.
