I stopped and resisted the urge to look at the lamp and a step forward while maintaining the expressions on my face as normal as possible.
The first thing I checked was the soul senses of the Governor and vice-governor. There was no change in it, but I didn't make any odd moves and continued moving as I was doing.
An hour passed and then another, before I reached the manor. I went to my administrative office and talked to people, as I usually do, before walking to the top floor.
It is a private space, that even the governor is forbidden to scan unless they notice something wrong.
Though I would see them scanning me sneakily several times a day. Which is natural. If I had been in their place, I would have done more than that.
I didn't behave abnormally and after freshening up; I closed my eyes and entered my core.
