We were talking when we saw a young man come swaggering. Yes, swaggering with a strange monkey on his shoulder, which is mocking the other monsters it is passing by.
Seeing the monkey, I couldn't help, but get shocked.
That Monster is the infamous Three-Eyed Devil Monkey. I have never been so jealous of someone else monster as I am now, and I am not the only one feeling envy seeing that monkey.
"I am not seeing things, right?" I asked Ellen, seeing Kevin with the monkey, to that she sighed before shaking her head.
"No, you are not. Kevin's father found it in the forest when he was tracking a dangerous monster a month ago." She replied, looking at the hopping money.
"He kept the secret well, even my father came to know this morning," she said, sounding extremely jealous.
This Monster is worth to be jealous of, not because it has the highest class of strain, which is class 9, not for its good fighting ability.
The most jealous thing about the monkey is that it can evolve to lieutenant rank without any hitch.
It means its partner could reach lieutenant rank with no problem.
Even if Kevin eats and stays home with his three-eyed stone monkey, he will reach lieutenant rank in a few years without any problem.
If anyone would have known Kevin's father found a Three-Eyed Devil Monkey a week ago, not even three days,
A lot of people would have killed Kevin's father and stole that monkey despite him being a man of government and second to the mayor in power in power.
Hell, even the mayor itself would have gone for it. The monster is too valuable not to.
"Did Kevin join any organization?" I asked, " Yes, he joined the Shadow Rogues yesterday." She replied. Shadow Rogues is an organization on the same level as Crystal Web.
"The same one as his uncle?" I asked. To that, she nodded.
Shadow Rogues has a different style than Crystal Web.
They mostly deal with 'Grey' missions. I have even heard the rumors that they also do assassinations and other things, but no one dares to say that openly.
It is said those who dared to simply disappear from the face of the earth.
'Chee cheese..'
The monkey is rude and probably uncontrolled.
It is scratching their faces, hitting them before running, while mocking them by making faces.
No monster could do anything about it. The monkey is too damn fast. It irked many youths, especially when their monsters cried out.
Instead of stopping his monsters. He laughed with joy.
"That money is too much and isn't even stopping it," said Ellen, looking at the monster harassing other monsters while Kevin laughed at its antics.
"He is enjoying it," I replied.
I am irritated. This is the most important day of our lives, but he is spoiling it.
"Stella, if that monkey comes near you, quickly bind it," instructed Ellen to her monster. It listened and moved to her other shoulder for a better position.
Soon, the monkey begins to target Ron's wolf. The little puppy attacked, but the monkey easily dodged the wind-blades.
'Wuu wuuu'
The puppy begins to cry, and Ron comforts him before turning to Kevin.
''Kevin, keep your monster in check!" said Ron angrily.
''Ron, if your monster couldn't even handle minor scratches. How is it going to handle big fights in the future?" Kevin mocked back complacently and started laughing.
No one said anything after that, fearing being mocked by him. What he said is kind of right, but also wrong.
This is not a place for attacks. If his monster wants to fight, he should challenge them. Instead of letting his monster run wild.
Soon, that monkey's eyes fell on Stella, and it came for it
The spider waited for the right time and attacked with its webs. I thought it would hit the monkey, but the little bastard dodged, moving at a much faster speed than it had become.
I appeared beside Stella and gave a long scratch. Making it screamed out.
"Stell!" she screamed out and took her spider in her arms to comfort it whole glaring at Kevin and his monkey.
Ellen wants nothing but beat the shit out of that Monkey, but she can't do anything except endure. It would not look good for her to attack the monster.
It is why nobody raises their hands toward the monkey. The little monster is also smart. It is only scratching others. Not doing any harm.
After having fun with Stella, that monkey moved to another target to harass. After enjoying hitting and scratching another few monsters, it targeted Ashlyn.
Ellen looked at me. She wanted me to take Ashlyn in my arms to protect her, but I did not do such a thing.
Instead, I watched with a smile on my face. Because the monkey is making a big mistake.
The money came, but it didn't attack immediately.
It danced in front of her. Mocked her, but it didn't brough a single change on her face.
It made the monkey angry, and it moved to attack her.
Ashlyn's just kept looking at it. Until it got close when her mouth opened and a tiny fireball shot out of it.
It alarmed the money immediately and it tried to dodge with its amazing speed, but the fireball was too fast and the monkey was too close to dodge.
It hit is squarely on the face. Making the monkey scream out in pain.
"Johny!" Kevin screamed out and took his monkey in his arms before turning to me.
"Micheal, your stupid bird burned Johny!" He is angry, glaring at me.
"I didn't burn. I am only seeing some roasted hair. It should be able to bear this much. If it wants to fight powerful monsters in the future," I replied, with all seriousness.
It seemed to make him angrier, and he opened his mouth to reply before closing it. He glared at me before returning to his seat with his monkey.
" It seemed like you have made a wise choice in choosing her," said Ellen, looking at Ashlyn. Hearing this, I couldn't help but smile proudly, looking at my little bird.
