"Michael, look at this! Isn't this pretty?" Akiane said with a beautiful smile as she puts a handmade dandelion wreath on her wavy, blonde hair. Michael was enjoying this scene as he smiled at her. Akiane held Michael's hand as they run through the field of summer flowers, they were full of love and laughter.
In a quiet spot, they sat under a tree. As they sat back to back, Akiane started to hum her favorite song. Michael held her hand and started to hum with her. When the summer wind blew the dandelion wreath away, Akiane wanted to chase and get it back. Suddenly, Michael stopped her.
"Akiane, would you like to marry me?" Michael said in hopes of getting a yes.
"I'll think about it." replied Akiane.
"How long do you need?" wondered Michael.
"Give me three days. I'll meet you right here in the same spot." replied Akiane.
When three days finally came, Akiane never came. Michael waited and waited until dawn. Michael got worried so she called her.
But she didn't pick up. Afterward, Michael left in disappointment. Several days later, he received a text from Akiane saying:
Dear Michael,
I am sorry to write to you like this. I am going out with Ren. We left yesterday for a vacation. I am sorry I cannot marry you.
Love Akiane.
Michael gripped his hand tightly on his phone, tears streaming down his face and he did not understand why Akiane cheated on him.
He swore he will never love again.
