Chapter 18 - Practicing

I entered the warehouse and flicked the switch on the right of the double doors.. A long line of lights turned on one by one. I walk in looking around and remembering all the memories that happened in this warehouse. Eddie bought it for me when I turned 15. It took him months to save up enough money and I had originally used it to work out. I learned how to drive. I remember my adoptive mom was scared I was going to crash so hard I would go flying out to the highway. I smile at the memory. Now it's time to get to work. I look around and see what I can use. First test will be to see if I had to use my hand to move the water or I could only use my hand. I already knew I had hydrokinesis, lets see how far I can use that power. I brought buckets of water and I set it on the floor in front of me. I back up and leave both my hands to the side and imagine the water going up in a stream. It works. The water slowly goes up but it's very unstable and hard to control. After I put the water back I use one hand to help me control the water stream. This time it's much easier and more efficient but still a little unstable. I put the stream of water back with ease as I tried again. This time I will try with two hands. This was probably the easiest of the three tries, but it would not be helpful in a fight. Maybe if I practice with one hand I could be able to fight and control the water. I start practicing. I use old gym equipment to help me and I make punching bags out of sand that was in the corner of the room for some reason and a gym bag. I think I've practiced for about five minutes but when I checked the time it's 6 am and I need to go to work. But now that I have a better grasp of my powers i'll be ready if anyone tries anything. Plus, I'll be able to keep an eye on the flash.
