After the scene Eddie and I had, Eddies' girlfriend came up to me and asked what business I had with her boyfriend.
She was pretty and I did not know who she was talking about.
" Who are you talking about miss"? I asked.
"Eddie. I saw you two at the station." She answered with anger.
"And you're asking me instead of your boyfriend. Why should I answer you?" I said challenging her.
I don't know why but I already did not like her. But after staring me in the eye for a while she left.
When I was walking out, I was on my phone and a guy with two cups of coffee bumped into me. He spilled his coffee all over me.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry."He said while scrambling for napkins.
"Oh, it's fine," I said not completely looking up.
When I finally looked up to face him I realized that he was kinda good looking.
His hair was not really messy but not really neat either.
" I should at least pay to get it cleaned," he said.
"No, I can't let you do that. It was my fault and I'll be late to work but thank you for the offering."
"Are you sure. We could talk about the price over... well... Coffee." He said grinning.
" I'm sure. I don't want to be late to work again. Maybe I'll see you around."
I left him there and went back to the CCPD. I felt bad but I wanted to be on time for once. So I can at least do something right. So that something in my life felt normal. Even if it meant leaving behind a cute guy.
