With a sudden urge to wake up, Mandy finally opened her eyes and was greeted by a beeping noise beside her. While she slowly regain her sight, she realized she was in a room. She have no idea what she was going to think at that time, she felt like she just slept for a long time.
"How are you feeling? It's great to finally see you awake. I'll call the doctor for you. Just wait for a minute. " a girl with a white cap on her head. She just arrived unnoticed in the room, as she write down on her clip board. As she finished she leave the place.
Not long enough, a doctor arrived on the room. He went to her and took a chair right beside her. Mandy saw a glimpse of his name tag on his cloth as he take his seat. He was holding a clip board, while scanning it.
"Ms. Mandy Frost, how are you feeling right now?" he asked as he put down the clip board.
"I feel just fine. Can I ask where my Mom and Dad?" she wants to see them, after what she just dreamed about them. She noticed the doctor softened its expression.
"Mandy I know you are a brave child, I am disheartened to tell the news to you but you have the right to know this..." a moment of silence before he continue, for Mandy she felt a sudden fear in what he was going to tell her.
"...your both parents is no longer here. You're a lone survivor of the fire. The house was burning when the rescuer arrived and saved you." he stated which made Mandy's tears to fall down. She can't accept it. She recalled what happened in her dream, she saw them covered in blood, lifeless and with their eyes staring at her. It was a horrible sight for her.
The doctor comforted her and gave her a hug. She cried hard and got tired from it. She fall asleep.
In the next day, she was mute. She never had a conversation with anyone while she was in the hospital. Until a social worker arrived and take her. Since she was still underage, they place her in an orphanage institution.
Day by day living like a doll staring in the air, Mandy slowly regain her memory what really happened to her. When she sleeps, all of the events happened to her are vivid. It was like the actual image and the feelings she experienced.
A time comes when she unconsciously used her ability which made her afraid. She was unsure how to use it or if she will use it. But, she realized its hard if she can't control it, so she slowly practiced it with her own effort. Until she slowly understand who she really was and what she's capable.
Almost two years passed, many incidents happened where she was caught using her ability. Until it reached the authorities about Mandy was using her ability, they felt threatened by her existence. Even if she's from a human being, they were still scared of what might she capable to do.
A group of black in suit people visit their orphanage. The nuns were talking with them when Mandy passed the hallway. She immediately knew they were here to take her. She run as fast as she could in her room and packed all her things. She was afraid what will they do to her if they get her.
She hear their footsteps coming from the door so she doesn't have a choice but to get out in the window. She succeed in getting out the place, she made her way in the woods as far away as she can. She will never let anyone hurt her wherever she might go.
