I was bored out of my mind.Reading an online story when it came on. You know one of those annoying questionnaires about a product you use. Well I was about to skip it when one of the questions caught my eye. I think it was the fifth or sixth one down.
'If you could be anywhere, any time, even fictional what would you choose? Please provide your reasoning.' If you want my honest opinion on that it would have to be the Percy Jackson series by Rick Riodoran. The simple answer is because I would be that I simp for some of them. Saving them from their fate of death possession and being puppets would just be a bonus.
Going back up I actually read it through. The questions where somehow off. Like they all connected to the Ideas of magic, this world and giving it to humanity.
Like the question, Should humans have magic? Please provide your reasoning.' My answer is simply this. Selectively yes, But ultimately no. Humans where made with the two ideas that everything should be there's and if it can't be mine then it'll be nobodies. Which will lead to a war between cultures and ultimately the removal of humans from earth. So go a movie route and make two worlds. One where normalcy provides stability and power to the second moonlight world and make it almost impossible to use magic in one and in the other is the key to all fantasy. The next few where about different magic systems.
Another question was, 'Pick five powers abilities and or inheritance to take withe you to another world. Please provide your reasoning.' Well i would choose Poseidon, Jack the Ripper, and Buddha all from the anime Record of Ragnarok because of their unique fighting style, weapons and abilities. The ability to create gates in between a pocket dimension and reality because I'll probably need a good place to crash and relax. And finally the ability to create butterflies out of any elements that act as both my spies and my collectors of rare things.
Going down the list it was talking about how I feel about certain crimes and how I would handle some situations. It even asked about how I feel about the black market. It doesn't matter to me what people buy as long as they aren't stupid about what they buy.
The final question was, 'What time and place would you like to be like to be inserted into and what animal would be your familiar if you where in a magic world and why.' I put that I would like to be a six year old clear sighted 'mortal' in the percy jackson universe. I would also take a hive mind of butterflies as my familiar.
When i finally answered all the questions and clicked submit one last question appeared. 'Would you still go if the world was racist, sexist, hates the LGBTQ+ community, and absolutely corrupt? Or would you stay safe in your own little world?' I would still go. I would go to make a difference and actually try to live a good life. I also know that I can't change a lot of things but I would try.
Just as I wrote that my computer and every other electronic then shut down as I hit submit. Leaving my room just shy of complete darkness. Looking outside I saw that every other light in Vancouver was down. Looking up I saw the entire milky way and a Full moon. I could only compare it to a sea of diamonds that are encircling a magnificent pearl on a dark velvet bed.
It lit the world in a sort of silvery violet glow.
Going back over to my bed I quickly decided to go to sleep and to deal with this blackout in the morning.
In order to fall asleep I had began to think of my wishes.
Poseidon had an excellent armor and weapons. his divine spear was basically a martial arts version of his domain. If he took his opponent seriously then he could have ended it in five seconds. Amphitrite was just a basic version of his skills. and each stage was more powerful then the last.
Buddha had his six paths staff that could connect to the six Buddhist underworlds. Each Form could do something unique. The divine realm wish granting wheel, twelve deva axe. The animal horse faced kannon nirvana, a giant spiked club. The human realms unshakable cord, indestructible vajra bo staff. The asura realm eleven faced kannon, shield to destroy misfortune. The preta realm holy kannon, scythe of the wild god. Finally the machine realms celestial eye. He also has the great nirvana sword zero and his Volundr, divine weapon lotus. He can also gain strength on multiple check boxes. The older the being, the closer to the root of humanity , and the more negative karma they have. he also passively purifies evil and corrupt beings.
As the two of them are gods the can create their own clothes and summon food. And with technical immortality it was mostly just eternal youth. And there armors are divine level artifacts that could defend against anything mortal made and a good and a good deal of everything else.
Jack on the other hand where more of an assassin type skill set. With his Volundr's ability to turn anything hlokk touches into a divine level weapon. though he is proficient in knives, guns and scissor. His reflexes could beat Artemis and hermes combined his strategic mind could beat Athena, Apollo and Ares. his eyes can perceive a persons true intention and whare they are at the drop of a hat.
Each alone where enough to take on a good portion of my path. And with Buddha's ability to purify people and Poseidon's ability to purify liquids it would be easy to live a quiet life.
And as the world faded to black and sound became null my last thought was,' They would have looked cooler with sky blue hair and neon glowing blue blood, mouths and nails.
