Chapter 9 - The beginning of the problems (3)

The environment of the Dungeon suddenly changed from being a maze illuminated to a labyrinth with haze so thick that Sebastian was unable to see more than ten feet in front of him.

Sebastian was only able to guide himself with the walls and the ground to avoid stepping on any ledges or avoiding traps, but he constantly came in contact with the torches that were now extinguished.

"This only gets more dangerous every minute that goes by, I need to get out of here before I find something I do not really want to find."

Sebastian in one way or another wanted to find the exit of the dungeon, but unfortunately he did not know that when starting an instance with a monster boss of a dungeon all the players present were unable to leave the dungeon until the monster fell or the players died.

Undoubtedly an unfortunate situation for Sebastian, who was blindly walking one step after another to the final room of the boss.

The walls of the tunnel in which Sebastian began to have malformations, breaks, fissures and marks like claws in which Sebastian realized that there was something wrong with following that path, but he also saw himself unable to retreat as he would encounter the hostile group of players.

At some point Sebastian noticed that the fog began to dissipate and a light was present in the tunnel as a fly attracted to the brightness he decided to follow blindly thinking that this would be an exit moments later the fog disappeared, and he was inside a huge room in which ran a strange and cold breeze that came from a circular opening in the ceiling of the room.

Sebastian walked carelessly into the room without knowing what was waiting for him inside it until suddenly and without warning a strange wave of sand surrounded him engulfing him which began to communicate with him.

"Turn over my guard and I'll fulfill a wish you have in mind."

The mysterious voice in the arena was heard by Sebastian and a notification appeared in front of him.

[Mini-Quest activated- Guardian of temporary dungeon]

[The lord of the dunes has appointed you as guardian of the dunes and promised to reward you in exchange for your help.]

[Requirements to complete the quest, kill a group of 6 adventurers present, in the domain of the lord of the dunes]

[Rewards decided by the Player/Guardian]

[Will you accept the mission Y/N?]

Sebastian watched the sand around him as if it moved like water itself, so he decided to ask before accepting.

"Do I have any other option?"

Sebastian knew that it was impossible to escape this situation so to clear his doubts he decided to ask if he would have the option of fighting the boss, but he was already practically in the hands of the monster boss of the dungeon.

"You have no other choice, the decision is yours, if you accept I will possess your body and you will become a temporary guardian, if you refuse, I will simply crush you with all the sand here present until you disappear."

The mysterious voice responded without showing a bit of pity for the creature he had in his hand.

"It sounds fair."

Sebastian decided not to try the patience of the unknown voice, so he decided to accept the offer.

"Then let the sand be present in your body and flood your soul, mortal old man!"

The voice said, but nothing had happened which made Sebastian wonder if the process had gone wrong, moments after the sand began to enter the body of Sebastian from his eyes, nose, ears and mouth.

...

...

...

"Damn it, more than 20 minutes ago we followed this truck and this fog just complicates things, luckily for us there are no monsters here." Said the young man wearing a metal armor.

"Shut up Doriem, this dungeon has been a pain in the ass since we entered, when I put my hands on that old man I will hit him in the face with steel gauntlets until his health reaches zero."

The young man in black leather armor said feeling very irritated because the entrance to the dungeon had not gone as expected.

"I'm beginning to wonder if this really is worth it, I mean, I think we spent 3 hours tracking and chasing that guy, it will not be that he already found an escape stone and left the dungeon, tell us, Erica what you think?" The young woman who had the nun's clothes with a cane said to her companion Erica.

Erica continued walking in silence, observing everything around her using her magical vision to track the steps that Sebastian had left when walking.

"Better shut up, I'm trying to track down this bastard, Vixen and Ghaster are silent all the time and do not ask silly questions."

"I really wonder if you can do things right once for a change." Erica said more and more effort in tracking the tracks until the tracks disappeared when entering the final room of the monster boss of the dungeon.

"Look, there's this bastard." The young man in metal armor said, pointing his finger at Sebastian, who was at the other end of the room with his head down.

"I'll get this crap done once and for all." The young man exclaimed, running up to Sebastian at a great speed sinking his club in his skull.

"Hahaha, perfect, we can take care of the boss and get out." The young man said, looking at his companions who watched silently upward, where there was a health bar that scored 49,691 of remaining health.

Immediately Erica noticed that the health of the tank of his team reached zero, and she observed how it was raised a few centimeters from the ground while it was converted into sand, which entered the body of Sebastian healing the damage he had received leaving it again in maximum health.

"Oh, young grave robbers, you will regret having entered the old home of my people." Sebastian said he was possessed by the lord of the dunes.

The entrance door behind Erica closed violently leaving them locked with Sebastian while he walked quietly watching all the members of the group who were now completely surprised.

The young man in black clothes disappeared in the twinkling of an eye attacking Sebastian in the back nailing a dagger deep, but this could not do much since the body of Sebastian was like trying to stab sand today.

"Tzk, only 300 damage with critical hit, it will really get tough." The young man again disappeared while the members of the group separated covering their corresponding roles.

The archer used a smoke bomb and disappeared from the scene without leaving any trace, Erica on the other hand began to charge a strong fire spell while she was protected by the other two members of the group.

"It does not have a solid body, so it would be correct to attack with magic."

Erica said while her spell was almost ready until a pillar of sand appeared on her feet and lifted her to the ceiling crushing her against him and leaving her in critical condition.

Thump.

Erica's body fell violently against the ground, feeling like her body did not respond to her since her body had suffered several fractures, that was another of the game's things, that a break in the game could feel very real.

Two members of his group were suddenly beheaded by a strange wave of sand that appeared from nowhere, the only remaining two members of the group, which were the archer and the thief had no chance to get out of that situation alive.
