Chapter 4 - This does not look good.

[Reconnecting, Bastion of the Goddess]

Sebastian opened his eyes again and looked around a huge flower garden where there was a lady who watered the flowers.

The lady had a long golden hair that reached her waist and her clothes revealed almost her entire body only covering the private parts of her.

The presence of the lady calmed Sebastian while he began to feel his body slowly responding again what allowed him to get back on his feet again.

"You have finally awakened." The soft and delicate voice of the lady was heard in the atmosphere as if it were everywhere at the same time.

"I thought I died, where am I?" Sebastian asked curiously after remembering that he had seen the notification informing him that he had died and had been forced to disconnect.

"Without a doubt, you died, but this is the point that every adventurer visits when he hopes to be revived...you look like a very old adventurer, I'm sure you could work on something else, rather than raise a sword." The lady said noticing that Sebastian seemed to be older due to his white hair and the size of his body, in addition to the clear wrinkles on his face.

"I'm only 60 years old, I'm not that old, I could try something new, but this new job of mine feels refreshing for some reason." Sebastian had been pleased to be fighting monsters in the forest without realizing it or remembering the first encounter he had with a goblin in the village.

"I can feel an old soldier." The lady said.

"I'm afraid it's wrong, I was never a soldier and luckily I was never forced to be a soldier." Sebastian responded assuming the lady thought he was an old soldier.

"How strange I thought I felt a born warrior in you...it does not matter, in a few minutes you will be called again to the world of the living." The lady said leaving on the ground the strange vessel that she had in her hands which she used to make water to the flowers.

"Before you leave, I must give you this, congratulations for becoming level 15." The lady said holding a wooden box with her hand presenting it to Sebastian.

Sebastian approached slowly and took the wooden box with both hands.

"What does this box contain?" Sebastian asked the lady curiously.

"Not even I know, its contents can be revealed only by the adventurers, nobody else in the world can open those mysterious boxes sent by the lords of everything." The lady said.

"The lords of everything?" Sebastian asked without taking his eyes from the box.

"Those who created us all and gave us life, means, reason and objectives, it may sound weird, but they gave us everything we have, and they have the power to take everything away from us when they want it." The lady answered.

"So why did they create the monsters? It sounds more like an absurd and disturbed entity than an all-powerful being that seeks to create life." Sebastian said while the lady watched worriedly.

"We are simple mortals created with a purpose that even we ourselves do not know, we can not understand the minds of the masters of everything even if we tried." The lady responded by trying to appeal to common sense.

"..." Sebastian put his hand on the box and it began to crack revealing what it had inside.

The box inside contained 10 skulls of various species of creatures, a red crystal the size of a melon and a strange ring that emitted a slight golden color.

The lady in front of Sebastian looked worried about the skulls, as if the lords of all had made some kind of sacrifice or something even worse to deliver such an object to a being that they had created.

"This...what is this?" Sebastian felt a chill run down his back as he observed the skulls noticing that they also emitted a certain black color, as if it were smoke.

Sebastian approached his hand and touched one of the skulls causing all of these to become smoke that began to run down his arm until reaching his body disappearing almost instantaneously.

Moments later a notification appeared in Sebastian's hand.

[The "Servants" ability has been activated, a servant slot has been used, there are 4 servant slots available to absorb.]

Sebastian did not present any change of expression because he did not know what was happening at that moment.

"Servants? Sorry but you would know what it means?" Sebastian asked the lady and at that moment out of nowhere the 10 different skulls appeared out of nowhere levitating around Sebastian.

"Hugh?!...AHH!!" Sebastian started to run away from the skulls, but this was totally useless since they were following him, but they did not seem to have a hostile behavior against him.

"I think they're not bad or I do not think they're trying to hurt you." The lady said observing how Sebastian fled towards all directions in the flower garden avoiding breaking any of them.

Sebastian decided to stop slowly and noticed how the skulls just continued to follow him until he could reach him and begin to levitate around him. As he raised his hand some of the skulls changed their levitation route and started to levitate around his arm.

The skulls were totally different from each other and had very clear differences between them.

The most different of the skulls present was one that had 4 huge horns that protruded from the top of the skull, its jaw had 4 long fangs and the other teeth were sharp but smaller.

"How strange you are." Sebastian said observing the skull more different from the others, noticing that his aura was different from the others, it was red and his eyes emitted some blue light.

The next thing Sebastian did was take the glass with both hands and it broke into pieces in his hands causing it to be paralyzed and the lady was surprised.

"I did nothing!" Sebastian said shrugging with his hands still raised.

Again a notification appeared in Sebastian's hand.

[Greater hostile focus crystal has been used]

Health +2000

Mana +300

[The "absolute hostility" ability has been learned]

[The "Magic Blood" skill has been learned]

[The "imaginary blood" skill has been learned]

"What are abilities?" Sebastian said loudly.

The lady was surprised because this adventurer was older but did not know anything about skills.

"Skills, are special movements that the adventurers and warriors of the kingdom learn from time to time after facing many monsters or constantly practice to learn the skills" The lady gave a brief explanation of what were the skills and their obtaining.

The last thing left in the box was a gold ring that emitted the faint golden light.

Undoubtedly, a strange item made of pure gold, with 4 little red jewels, Sebastian raised his hand and put the ring on his finger noticing how it fitted his finger and a new notification appeared.

[Advanced adventurer inventory has been acquired]

[Adventurer package [modified] has been used]

[Package sent by user "Lord of all V1.3]

"Package sent by a user?" Sebastian told himself without even knowing that the package had been sent by one of the moderators of the game for some strange reason.

Although he could not deny feeling suspicions of this, or maybe that was normal behavior in the game although Sebastian thought it better and remembered that the lady had said "Congratulations on reaching level 15." That was what she had said.

"But I am level 17." Sebastian looked around and the lady was nowhere to be seen.

"What the hell is this game?" Sebastian asked himself as a circle of light began to shine at his feet.

[10 seconds before being reanimated...The user level is higher than the available resuscitation zone, the user will be redirected to the city of Rakhusas (Level 25-90)]

"Wait level t-" Sebastian was about to speak but was teleported being forced to leave that area.

The powerful light blinded Sebastian momentarily, but when he opened his eyes he was in a strange interior of what seemed to be a church as there were benches arranged and behind him, 8 statues of different people with their hands crossed.

"I'm not going to get used to this going from one place to another." Sebastian said as the light began to shine again and another person fell on top of him.

"My back!" Sebastian said insulting by getting rid of the young man who had fallen on him.

"Ah, hey!" The young man stood up rubbing his head with his hand watching Sebastian who was rising from the ground.

"Hey, old man, be more careful where you lie down to sleep!" The young man shouted assuming that Sebastian was sleeping on the resuscitation site.

Sebastian on the other hand was busy rubbing his hand on his back because the weight of the young man had caused a puncture pain to be present on his back.

Just then another three young adventurers were present in the church shouting the name of someone.

"Hey ember, let's hurry, we do not have all day for you." One player shouted at his partner who was busy arguing with Sebastian.

"I'm coming this stupid old man got in my way!" The player said standing up running towards his companions.

"Haha an old man beat you up?" Another of his colleagues said.

"Shut up, I'll take care of him when I have the chance." the young man said looking hostile to Sebastian who was still rubbing his back.

"Yes, yes, as you say, just try to do it when you're not in the city, the guards will kill you in the blink of an eye if you play dumb." The player said.

Sebastian continued rubbing his back for a while until he felt the pain go away and managed to stand up stretching his arms.

"How good it feels!" Sebastian said with a smile on his face.

When looking around there was nothing relatively interesting, but there were a couple of people sitting on the benches, as if they were praying.

Sebastian decided not to be impolite and interrupt something as important as the prayers of another person, so he hastened to leave the church and opened the door sunlight blinded him momentarily.

When the blinds disappeared Sebastian could see merchants and hundreds of people walking the streets, some with armor and tunics and other common clothes and backpacks, but almost all had their names framed in different colors.

"This is very different from the town now that I'm supposed to do?" Sebastian was completely lost since he did not know what to do next.

"You should prioritize making money, buying food and armor and a better weapon than that, that blunt sword will not get you anywhere." A female voice told him what to do next.

Sebastian turned around and was able to observe a young girl with dark hair holding a wizard's staff and wearing a tunic that revealed many parts of her body.

"Are those clothes supposed to leave their bodies uncovered in those ways?" Sebastian said observing the girl who was half covered with the robe.

"We do not make the clothes, sir, we only use them." The young girl said.

"My name is Erica, it's a pleasure, you seem to be new in this city." Erica said.

"How do you know?" Sebastian said trying to understand how the girl had realized that fact.

"It's because he still wears the clothes of a beginner adventurer, most of the people who arrive here the first time, come equipped with rare blue or lucky gold equipment." Erica said, explaining the rarity of equipment that most players used when they arrived in that city.

"How can I get money Erica?" Sebastian asked Erica.

Erica looked around and walked away from the wall.

"Well, I was waiting for my friends, but apparently they did not manage to come, so if you come with me, I'll buy you equipment, like a good Samaritan!" Erica said as if that was a girl scout's goal.

"...somehow I just felt insulted." Sebastian said understanding what Erica was referring to.

Sebastian refused to accept money from someone else, so he decided to propose something different.

"How about, if you help me gather materials and create my own equipment?" Sebastian said thinking that it would be better to get his own materials and create his own equipment, because he had almost no money.

"Hahaha, good joke sir." Erica said between laughter.

"I am afraid that creating equipment with the materials extracted from creatures level 25 upwards is extremely expensive and complicated, at least it should be a forger, silver two to be able to process the materials and create a weapon." Erica said explaining the problem of creating equipment.

"I see, well I will continue my way then." Sebastian said walking to the main street, but Erica at that moment observed the ring in Sebastian's hand and made a wicked smile, planning something.

Sebastian on the other hand walked away without realizing that he had been marked with a special magic to be detected, detected by Erica who had something planned.

"I must leave the city and find monsters." Sebastian decided to implement his plan to practice to be a smith and create his equipment, since the lack of money he had was a bigger problem, besides that he did not know how the MMORPG games worked, so he did not know how to get missions to complete and earn money and experience.

After a long time of walking the streets and seeing women half covered because the armor only seemed to protect non vital parts of the body.

"If the armor gets smaller, this game will look like a promotion for adult movies." Sebastian said what he was thinking out loud, while some players noticed that he was wearing the rookie player equipment.

"That guy has rookie armor?" One player said as he meticulously observed Sebastian and his equipment.

"I'm assuming that's an appearance and that his equipment should be golden, I've never seen that sword on his shoulder." Another player said mentioning Sebastian's weapon.

On the other hand, Sebastian continued walking until he reached the front door and went to what appeared to be a huge desert.

"What is this?" Sebastian was baffled to see the landscape in front of him and many players enter and disappear into it.

Sebastian was thinking for a few moments but no matter what he decided to start hunting monsters.

....

....

....

After 20 long minutes of walking and intense heat Sebastian had not met any monsters, so he began to feel frustrated and thirsty.

"Even though this is a game I have never felt so thirsty in my life." Sebastian told himself feeling his mouth dry as his throat.

Each step that he took made the sand move and his foot sink into it, but at that moment a strange vibration was present in the ground.

"Even though this is a game I have never felt so thirsty in my life." Sebastian told himself feeling his mouth dry as his throat.

Each step that he took made the sand move and his foot sink into it, but at that moment a strange vibration was present in the ground.

At that time a huge creature was present emerging from the sand, his body was strange and full of thorns, he had no eyes and the inside of his mouth looked like a garbage recycling machine.

"Is...a very big worm?" Sebastian observed the creature that had some resemblance to the rock snake but much smaller and that seemed to be less threatening.

More and more worms began to emerge from the ground and at that moment Sebastian had only one thing to say.

"This does not look good." Sebastian said.
