Not long after, two old people goes to Alys' house and knock. Since no one is answering why bother knocking again right?. They then get inside and found her sleeping though no longer having a high fever she still had a little cold so the old woman goes to the kitchen and made some light meal and brought over the milk from their house on the city. While the old man started a fire and lit the house.
The old couple tend for the little girl until sunrise where her state gets stable. The couple make themselves feel at home.
"go get some woods and fire the place, i shall make some light meal for her"
"got it!, i shall chop some more" he quickly walk out of the room.
"OK.. and get some water too"
They came here more than twice before so they can still tell where is where inside the house like its their own. Aly then woke up.
"hmm"
what-why... am i a little limp and my head hurts.
Right, i caught a fucking cold, so genius of me to sleep in the bathtub heh.
She sit up trembling, a wet cloth fell down from her forehead "what the?." The old woman walk inside her room.
Astonished she ask "ga-grandma Hale?"
"what what are you doing here?" she ask dazedly
"oh you are awake now my dear, do you want something to eat or drink?. Just tell me and grandma will surely get it for you"
The little girl only shakes her head twice not knowing how to reply from her grandmas sudden appearance. The old woman look at her and ask herself conflicted. Did i just heard her call me that?., wait..if that is so heh...i win again old man!!!"
realizing what the girl just called her, the old woman look straight at the little girl, smiling so gently she said emotionally. " silly girl..how could i not?. You are like a granddaughter to us?."
The girl who heard it felt an immense guilt as she was swallowed by the warm feelings, she put her hands onto her face covering it, she sobbed.."im so sorry for making you worry"
The old woman who never had a little child for a very long time evr since her son move far away, felt like she had a little cub to protect now"its ok, im just here. Your grandpa and grandma is here for you"
"worrying is our duty, it only means that you are important to us so don't apologize" she tightly hug the little girl as if she was the old woman's' little cub.
The old man then came inside to inform the old lady if she needs anything so that he could do it but in Alys' room he found the sick girl awake talking to his wife he ask "my child are you ok?"
The girl then look at the man and nod knowing that the old woman is here only means that the old man is here as well so she isn't that shock to find the old man inside her room.
The old woman then grin and proudly said "did you know that she just called me grandma?." Still amazed she proudly told his husband the tittle she was given by the little girl.. displaying her bright smile with matching reddish cheeks in her obvious victory from the old man.
Jealous the old man shamelessly ask "how about this old man?"
"Wont you call me grandpa?" "let this old man hear you say it with your loving voice!"
Hearing it made the two women creep out.."geez!.. how can you say that in front of the child, you disgusting old man!" she berated her husband for his shamelessness but then the little girl move her head and look down, flustered she said "i.. so-sorry"
Expecting to hear for a respond the old man only made a sound "hmm"
Despite her nervousness, she forced herself to say it though stuttering "ga-grand-p-pa"
Seeing how adorable the two was the old woman laugh out loud followed by her husband and Alys' face turned redder alas.. her fever returned sometimes after for not being so used on such a lively warm atmosphere.
Shy, she ask the old lady "ahm how did you get here g-grandma?" , "And how did you know i was sick?. "
The old woman look outside "we were planning to visit you, it so just happened that when we came here today you are sick"
"you should get rest first, sleep now and don't worry we are not going anywhere"she look at the girls deep cyan blue eyes tenderly.
Waking up early, Aly sit her aching body up and stretch her hands to the air. Her left hand holding her right hand and vice versa and made a sound of groan from over sleeping and fatigue.
Opening her window, what welcome her was the sound of cicadas, the birds singing delightedly as the wind blows and the tree dances with it, the scent of flowers, fruits and plant can be smell. Covering her eyes from the blinding light, the soft and wet soil even the grass shines under the bright sunlight. The aroma of the food being cooked sipped out from the kitchen as a sound of familiar laughter from two people can be heard.
