It was as though the earth blazed,as the sun shown brightly through the curtains,it's hot breeze descending unto the rather senile room,in a prestigious hospital.
She blinked one eye open,then the next,her brows furrowed in worry,her nose scrunched in agony.
'T..T..The c..curtains.'she croaked with a hoarse voice and surprisingly the sunlight ceased it's prying,like magic,or maybe someone had done it.
With her eyes still trying to adjust to the light,or the lack of,she groaned out in pain,supporting herself with her elbows as she sat up,gasping for air.
'Water...I need water.'she licked her dried lips,her throat bobbing yo and down to produce saliva,but alas it was not enough.
She felt something wet pressed to her lips,and without even looking,opened her mouth and gobbled everything down,as the liquid flushed down her system,she felt a cooling sensation,then with a sigh,placed her head back on the comfy pillow and closed her eyes.
Wait,she thought,her heart beating erratically,her lips forming an 'o',her eyes snapped open,she looked up and almost felt like jumping down the bed.
Her eyes were still a bit blurry,but there was no doubt that the person in front her was everything but her imagination.
She blinked rapidly and looked straight at the man wearing a white collar jacket and a stethoscope.
"Who...Who are you?".she looked around the room,then back at him."And where am I?".
The man with a stethoscope smile warmly at her,brushing a bit of her unruly hair behind her ear."Am the doctor...your doctor".
"D..Doctor?".her lips formed a thin line."How?".
The doctor gave her a small smile."Don't worry yourself about the details".
But she had to worry,she was in a prestigious hotel,in a room that smelled like fine medicine(although she didn't know what that meant)and her head throbbed,surely that wasn't such a normal occurrence that should just be swept under the carpet?
Right??
"Why am I here?".She asked,desperation laced in her voice.
The doctor scratched behind his neck,a notepad now in his other hand,then he looked up at her."You were in an accident dear".
What??
"Don't you remember?".
"No".She shook her head,her mind trying but failing to recall anything that might have happened the night before,it was foggy,and with squinted eyes she racked her brain for an answer,all she was met with was silence.
She felt hands on her arm."Miss don't disturb yourself and just lay down while we run some tests,okay?".
She obliged,resting her head on the pillow,letting slumber take her away.
