His wrist tied up in sorrow. His heart a feather it varys but falls. He was there from the beginning eyes fixed set on him. From orphanage to relative, from relative to orphanage the bird never touched the sky. Pockets empty but there was a piece of gum. God —if there was one— threw stones at him and the death kept calling. Fear rose up and took the surface and flooded the core of his eyes. The rainbow was no where to be found. His eyes clouded his mind. His mind clouded his heart and his heart clouded his action. Embracing death three times only to be left alone in the morning. Danger followed his every move like a shadow. Even when there's no sun.
"Hey didn't you hear about that new boy that was coming to the orphanage?'
"I heard he is an evil child. Causing problems wherever he goes. God bless us all."
"What was his name again? It starts with an 'E'." the little maids gossiped among themselves as they cleaned what was left from supper.
"It Emmanuel."
"Oh yes!! Did you hear that his eyes where two different shades."
"My goodness this jobs is quite troublesome with all this children that don't belong here."
