Kaida was already getting irritated as the sun was setting and she wanted to spend some time with her second son before he went to sleep. just as she wanted to call the personal maids of Hiroshi and Hiromi, the door of the nursery opened.
Huli came in with Hiroki on his arm followed by a few servants. The servants carried his things and a few carried a baby bed inside. When they had placed everything down, they left the nursery .
Huli first walked past the cradles of Hiroshi and Hiromi and then turned to Kaida.
"Sorry it took so long, after we saw each other he fell asleep and then it was time for his bath and food"
Kaida nodded and said
"I will to thank his personal maid when she arrives"
Huli frowned
"why will you thank her? "
Kaida did not want to talk to him for too long because she was still disappointed in him, so she approached him and held out her hands.
"Can I have him now, then you can leave the south wing of the palace"
Huli looked at her with a sad look and looked at Hiroki
"I have another bed for him because he doesn't like the cradle. After I gave him a bath I immediately smeared him with the special oil that I had Tatsu make specially. It is made from lavender. I have noticed that it makes him calm and ... "
Kaida became a bit impatient and then moved closer to Huli and took Hiroki out of his hands.
"If that's all, you can go now. When his personal maid is there I will thank her for the good care she gave him when I was not conscious "
Huli looked defeated at Kaida and did not know what to say. Kaida was also a bit surprised because in the time she knew him she had never seen so many emotions on his face. She saw that he stopped and did not move.
"Is there anything else?"
Huli sighs
"My queen, why are you acting like this?"
Kaida looked furiously at Huli
"Are you seriously asking why I am acting like this Huli? You promised me something! But even though you knew that it was your mother's fault that i fell, you let her care for the first prince and first princess! If I had not sent Okuri a message, your mother was probably still here! I'm tired of you protecting your mother every time. "
Huli looked at Kaida in surprise. This was the first time she had called him by name and not my king. Yes, it was true that he knew, but he did not protect his mother at all. And he was already planning to let his fahter come and get his mother.
His father, however, was not in the north and only returned three days ago. He knew that only his father could make his mother leave, because she had not listened to all his requests to leave.
And his mother did not care for the first prince and first princess, they only stayed in the north wing of the palace because it was close to his office. He had also given instructions to their personal maids to involve her as little as possible in the care.
Only Hiroki was the most with him because he cried a lot and he was difficult with others. His personal maid himself struggled to care for him. Now that he was a little used to her, things went better, but it was still Huli who did the most.
Kaida saw that Huli remained silent and walked to the door, she opened the door
"Your silence says enough, we are done talking "
Huli wanted to say something, but she interrupted him
"Our first year is almost over, don't worry I will stick to the appointment we made in the betrothal chamber "
When Huli heard that, his world collapsed and an emotion of sadness came over him. He saw from Kaida that she felt hurt and incapable of reason, so after he had given a kiss to Hiroshi and Hiromi, he walked defeated to the door.
Before leaving the chamber, he gave Hiroki a pat on his head. Hiroki started to move wildly with his arms and tried to take Huli's hand. Huli smiled softly and hesitantly leaned toward Kaida and gave her a kiss on her forehead before he left the chamber .
Kaida closed the door with red eyes and trembled to the rocking chair and sat down. Tears slowly rolled down her cheeks. Why had he not said anything?
She knew it would be a loveless marriage, but she had fallen in love with him, and now it felt as if her heart had been broken into a thousand pieces.
Had he not felt for her in these past months? She felt stupid because she had not asked him all the questions to which she had no answer, but she knew that she was not strong enough at the moment to hear the answers.
She was no longer confident that she would get the answers she wanted to hear. She was annoyed by the fact that she was so weak, this was not her!
Hiroki, who first moved wildly with his arms, was now calm and looked around the nursery as if he were looking for something.
He became more restless by the minute and started to turn his head wildly and then whimpered suddenly. The whimping went over to sobbing and eventually he started to cry loudly.
Kaida tried to appease him, but the rocking chair did not calm him down, so she got up and started walking him around the nursery as she rocked him in her arms. But that did not work. He did not want to eat, nor did he needed a clean diaper.
He had been crying for ten minutes when someone knocked on the door
"Your highness, I am the personal maid of Hiroki I ask permission to come in"
Kaida went to the door and opened it
"Come in quickly, do you know why he keeps crying"
The personal maid of Hiroki looked surprised at Kaida and quickly walked inside. In her hands she was holding his dragon egg and a blanket, behind her was the fox of Hiroki who paid no attention to his master and laid down quietly next to the special baby bed.
Hiroki's personal maid put the dragon egg in the bed and walked to Kaida with the blanket.
"Your highness my name is Sachio. Look, this is the blanket with the scent of the king, I have noticed that this calms the little Hiroki in the absence of the king. "
Kaida looked at Hiroki's personal maid. she was a light-hearted lady of 20 years, she had light blonde hair and green eyes. When she had wrapped Hiroki in the blanket, he gradually became quiet. He was still sobbing a little but he was no longer crying.
Kaida looked gratefully at Sachio, she was happy that her father had chosen the right people as personal maids for her children
