*Aurora POV*
After convincing Shadow to go recover some forest mushrooms for inventory I got right back to work on the scheduling I'd started earlier, needless to say I was quite shocked when she popped out of the floor 5 minutes to sunrise with a nauseous looking kid with a red cheek visibly struggling to stay standing. "You're late" I say turning my attention back to the papers on my desk, I'm sure she'll tell me all about the kid, that girl never hides anything from me, "Yeah, well about that-" She starts, "Did you get the mushrooms?" I say cutting her off. It's best she starts at the beginning anyway, "O-oh, yeah they're right here" She places a basket full of mushrooms on my desk. I then lean back in my chair and look up at them, "Alright" I sigh bracing myself, "What's with the kid?".
*Silver POV*
I feel the world vanish around me as Shadow pulls me through the ground, I don't even have time to react as I find myself in a sea of black littered with small bright lights I break away from Shadow, panicking at not only my own weightlessness but the fact that they're was no ground anywhere in sight only black emptiness littered with star-like lights. I feel like I'm under water and begin frantically flailing my arms and legs I open my mouth to scream but nothing comes out, my panic doubles. "Oh for the love of- WOULD YOU STOP FREAKING OUT" I feel a sharp pain as a slap goes across my face, I try to ask her why she did that but once again no sound comes out of my mouth, I do however calm down enough to realize that (despite the complete lack of solid ground) he wasn't sinking, he wasn't exactly floating either he was kind of just... hovering in place. with some difficulty I manage to turn to see Shadow hovering a shot distance from me. She did not look impressed though I do see some range of understanding in her eyes. I guesture to my mouth still confuesd as to why I can't speak, "Oh yeah, you can't talk here" I hear her say, I look at her in shock because though I heard her I never saw her lips move. She taps her head, "Telepathy, you'll get used to it" I hear her say after a moment of shock say in my mind "Like this?", "Yeah, see your a natural" she gives me a smile, "Where are we?" I ask, "Well, it's generally known as. The dark space. It's a sub space only shadow servents can use for transportation, oh and time doesn't really exist here so if you have questions you might as well ask them now" She says before crossing her legs and moving into a sitting motion, "Okay..." I say, wondering where to start, "Do we work the same way normal people do?" I ask, "If by normal you mean living then no, we don't, at this point it's all phychological, mind over matter really, you'll breath and blink if you feel like you have to, you'll eat and/or drink if you feel you have to or if you just want to but you'll never sweat of be able to use the bathroom. next question"she says casually, I think about that for a minute and stop breathing I don't feel any pressure I just feel empty and tranquil. I look at Shadow in shock only to have her give me an understanding nod and a knowing smile, "Do we sleep?" I ask, Shadows eyebrows shoot up, as if it was the one question she wasn't prepared for, however she quickly regains her composure, "Do you want to sleep?" She asks, "Um, sure?" I can't help but wonder about her reaction, "Then feel free" she says, "Okay, are there more of us?" I ask, brushing off my odd feeling, "Undead or shadow servents?" she asks, "...well both I guess" I say, "Well first of all just so you know undead don't age. There are 4 different classes of undead. At the bottom we have 'Puppets', puppets are basically souless dead bodies manipulated by necromancers, commonly used as spies or soldiers. Above them we have 'Phantoms', Phantoms are essentially golems made from human emotion typically anger or fear, normally used to help defend or hide their creators. Above them are 'Specters', Specters are spirits who can only travel within or near the place they died and now haunt, needless to say they have a lot of turf wars, other then haunting space they don't have any restrictions and pretty much act like the living out of habit. And of course at the top of the undead ladder are 'Shadow servents', Shadow servents are spirits that had died in tragic or traumatic ways and so their spirits can't haunt any one place forcing them to wander until they find a soul to bond with through necromancer magic condensed into uniqe brand stamps, hence the mark on your collorbone, this bond is what sets shadow servents away from spirits allowing us free travel and giving us the ability to ignore and deny the habits we needed to keep when we were alive, however it also allow the brander a certain amount of control over the shadow servent and the ability to give telepathic commands." she finishes I'm completely silent as I absorb the information, "Is that your last question?" Shadow asks looking bored, "Uh, yeah sure, that'll do for now, so how do we get out of here" I say looking around for an exit, "Oh all you have to do is envision where you wanna go and the follow the string" She says giving me a smile, "What string?" I ask. I watch as she closes her eyes for a moment before a dark red string materializes in front of her, she grabs me and the the string, all of a sudden we're moving incredibly fast toward one of the lights, when we break through the light I'm feel like i've been punched in the stomach and am temperarily blind. When I regain my vision i find myself stand before a witch poured over papers on a desk.
