The ingredients at Zhao Anan's home had been bought by the servants of Family Zhao. Zhao Zhao knew that her daughter was celebrating her birthday and that a bunch of her friends would be there. So she had things delivered in the morning but she didn't come there herself because she didn't want to disturb the young people's party.

She not only gave Zhao Anan a large necklace of rare Buddhism pearls with the blessing of a master monk but also sent expensive ruby necklaces for Shangguan Ning and Zheng Lun. She had given Shangguan Ning and Zheng Lun lovely presents, but what she had given to her daughter was both expensive and full of the most fervent wish of a mother – she hoped that the pearls could bless her daughter so that she could be safe and happy.
