Lying on the carpet, Ji Lili felt dizzy and went on to spit out a mouthful of blood. She made a feeble attempt to get up but was unable to do so. She was no longer the arrogant person she showed off to be, a few minutes ago.
The bodyguards who were responsible for Ji Lili's protection, lunged at Jing Yichen, but before they were even able to touch the collar of Jing Yichen's shirt, they were all done away with, by Yichen's lot of bodyguards.
Jing Yichen looked at his team of men and yelled "Fire!"
No sooner had he given the order, than the deafening sound of gunshots being fired and glass breaking, filled the banquet hall. Everyone screamed in fright.
The gunshot sound only lasted for a few seconds. When it stopped, guests realized that nobody was hurt. They weren't the intended target. Instead, the expensive chandeliers that hung overhead, were now just shards of glass, scattered across the ballroom floor.
