Chapter 2 - The 3 Wishes

As Osiris's soul had left his body, the good karma he had accumulated over his lifetime came with him. He had a complete refresh of his whole life, from his birth to his death. This process felt like the whole 21 years of his life passing but it actually took a quick 5 minutes. Due to the sudden recalling of all of his forgotten memories his soul couldn't handle it. His vision blacked out and his soul started to fade. Right before it faded away and would never be able to reincarnate it got sucked into some kind of spatial whirlpool and was transported to the traveling god's home.

Osiris woke up to completely unfamiliar surroundings, he was in front of a huge mansion made out of the purest and rarest jade. As he regained consciousness, the doors to the jade mansion slowly creaked open. Osiris was confused at why such a supernatural event occurred, but his adventurous and free spirit told him to enter. He did exactly that and entered the mansion. As soon as he entered lights flared up thus causing him to be stunned and not having the ability to see for a period of time. He felt his body being carried by some sort of supernatural force as he felt no contact with a living organism, he heard the sound of a door locking and a minute later he regained his vision. Osiris was stuck to a chair and struggled to get up but he couldn't. He then looked up and saw was a pure white pedestal with a single person standing on it.

'Who are you?' Osiris asked with confusion evident in the tone of his voice.

The figure on the pedestal said

"I am a God, here to reward you for your exemplary deeds and also to give you another chance at life. The world in which you reincarnate is a very cruel world, strength is the most important factor and without it, anyone can do anything they want to you. Before you reincarnate I will grant you 3 wishes that can affect your previous world and the world you are going to. State your 3 wishes."

Osiris was confused until he recalled how he died, it took some time for Osiris to calm down and the God waited patiently. After Osiris sorted himself out he said calmly

'My first wish would be to wipe my parent's memory of having me as a son and make them adopt a child from the orphanage to replace me.'

The God admired Osiris's loyalty to his family and said

"No worries about that, it will occur and you do not have to waste a wish on it."

Osiris then thanked God for his kindness and said

'Then my first wish would be to get a system that suits my bloodline.'

The God replied

"That is within my capabilities, tell me about your second wish."

Osiris then told the god his second wish

'My second wish is to have a human body but a grim reapers bloodline. I want to be strong enough to protect people important to me and guide wronged souls that linger in the world back to the cycle of reincarnation.'

The God said

"That will be a bit difficult but I think it is within my powers."

Osiris then said his last wish

'My last wish is to be reborn in the body of an orphan that's name is the same as mine and has the optimal age for the growth of his powers.'

The God replied

"I will grant all your wishes. Now, my child, it is time for you to be reincarnated."

Osiris said in a hurried and panicked voice

'Wait! What is your name?'

The God replied with

"You need not know that my child. Now, off you go!"

Osiris's soul was enveloped by a blinding light and his soul was transported to his new world.

As soon as Osiris left the God thought aloud

"That young lad is an interesting one, I wonder what heights he will reach."
