Chapter 14 - Chapter 1: What is that feeling?

--C--

Stop staring at me damn it. He's just standing there, staring at my fur outfit I had to rip off that poor cow he killed when he was farting. Now I know how they survive the night tho, It's so warm in those clothes.

I tried everything to wake him up from that admiration glare he was in. For instance, I tried slapping him, pinching him, punching him... I had the idea to kick him in the nut but that would come up too hard on him.

Suddenly, his belly started to speak hunger and started asking for food like a little baby waking up from his sleep. But of course, it didn't really help since when he started to look in a way other than my melons he felt on the ground and refused to move.

I had to drag him on the pulley system and pulled him up like the cow he killed with farts. As we got in he started to look at all the advancements I had made, axes pickaxes and other useful tools that I used to survive this long.

Then he started to stare at the little cow, maybe thinking how cute it is not knowing that he killed its father farting.

But then he looked up and started vomiting. Yeah, I had the legs of the cow hanged up there drying out. It's called taxidermy, or something like that.

Then he looked back and found me exactly in front of him, a bit too close. He actually jumped out like he was scared, am I that scary?

Anyway, we sat down together at the new table Bridgy made us, not exactly the plans I gave him but still that's way too food for a first try.

Then I started telling him about all that happened after I woke up, excluding the fact that the water falling from the pipe is magical and gives extra-human power. He would just abuse so much of it.

And also the fact that his heart stopped for a very long minute. I didn't tell him that I was dying from terror and guilt, screw that. That would just make it too much even for me.

But my face gave it away and he started blushing and looking away just the way anybody would do in this kind of situation.

Even more when I told him that I had to hold him tight to me in this naked world for heat, he started to cough and almost died if I hadn't told him that we are in a world without blankets.

Let us say that I skipped the part where I went into the mine. He's stressed enough as it is, let's not kill him, again, he just woke up.

I did realize that he didn't speak to me for some reason, maybe he's mute, or just scared to speak. Even his arms are low, he never lifted them in front of me.

So I showed him some ways of speaking like for instance nodding his head up and down for yes, left and right for no, sometimes my belly goes hungry and she keeps a little leather sack full of water to keep me hydrated.

Then I went to see what Bridgy did with the plans. I had some ideas for a house made of made out of wood but not on the trees this time. And It seems that he did a great work.

He made some walls and a ceiling. He attached the walls with some ropes as I showed him. This will surely hold those savages out of us. He even made the walls spiky and stuck them to the ground, which wasn't on the plan. But that was genius of him.

Then I asked him to make the floor and some pieces of furniture like tables, chairs, beds, shelves and if he could make some cups and plates.

Everything was in place just how I wanted it to be. All I needed now was a way to make clay.

Normally clay is made by mixing some flour and water with a pinch of salt. But where do I find flour? I'm sorry mom I didn't pay attention in pottery classes. I never even went to them not even once.

Well, just the beginning where they announced the components. Normally flour is just pulverized wheat seeds, but I had to grow them first.

When I went back to the shack he wasn't there. Where the hell would this guy be in the middle of the night, but then I remembered that I had a falling ladder. It looks like he's got the eyes for details.

When I went up the shack he was there, admiring the stars and singing a romantic song in the modern world. "Glad you came". His voice was okay but the emotions he was feeling were true. I just wonder if they were about me.

What am I talking about, I must be tired from all the mining. That's all. I planted the wheat seeds and went back to the shack to get some sleep. There go months of growth.

Or just what I had thought, it grows to max overnight, which must explain the volume of blue fibers I landed on. When I showed Bridgy how to make them he got excited and started to move in rhythm.

I guess I officially discovered clay now that I have water and flour, even harder was to find the right proportions. Even if you have all the resources in the world mixing them randomly can't give you the same results.

But it seems that one big hand of flour and a little bit of water should do it perfectly, and when left to the sun it's a natural cooking system.
