"What do you mean nightmare?" Angela was pestering Pam since this morning about Pam's reply to her text.
"You mistyped, right? You meant sweet dreams, didn't you? my gosh!" Pam rolled her eyes at Angela.
They are walking to school. Angela lives one block away from her. Angela came early to Pam's house so they can walk to school together.
"He's so dreamy, Pammy. He's tall, not dark but with skin as white as milk, and handsome! Girl!" she squeaked.
"Get a hold of yourself. What about your partner?" Pam asked.
Angela lost her smile and burrowed her eyebrows. With her lips in a pout she said, "with Vanessa."
"Vanessa?" Pam echoed. Angela nodded.
"The Vanessa?" Pam repeated.
"Yes, girl! THE Vanessa from our high school. The grade-conscious Vanessa! Kill me now!" angela said dramatically.
"good luck" Pam cheered sarcastically.
They entered the campus and went to their first class of the day. They sat at the bottom row. Pam placed her bag on the chair on the aisle and sat on the chair next to it. Angela sat next to her.
The room was starting to get filled.
When the professor walked in, a tall guy also entered the back door.
"Excuse me, can I sit here?" he said to pam.
Pam's eyes widened. Took her bag from the chair and looked forward.
She was uncomfortable. Like someone was staring at her. She looked to her right.
The guy was looking at her, with his elbow on the desk, his head resting on his palm.
"It was you" he whispered. Pam shook her head.
"It was you! You're that girl. The coffee girl."
"No," Pam replied.
"What's wrong?" Angela asked, turning to both of them.
Angela's mouth formed a big "O" and Pam had to cover it with her hand and pleaded for her to shut up.
